  1. I haven't been to a gym in years. Now, I go 6 days a week. Once I started going, I feel stronger, have more energy, and feel alive. I take full advantage of the fitness classes. I hope you enjoy your gym experience.
  2. I search online for calories lost doing a specific exercise.
  3. The song that instantly came to my mind when I read your post is "I am coming out" by Diana Ross. Way to go!
  4. I am in the same boat. I had my 2nd fill last Thursday and still NO RESTRICTION! My will power is fading. I now have 7cc's in a 9 cc band. I only have room left for 2 cc's. So, I am afraid that I won't reach my "sweet spot". No matter what, I am going to still eat like I have restriction. The band is only a tool. If the tool does not work, I have to work a little harder. The best of luck to you.
  5. @ Karen, my surgeon gave me a card the day of the surgery. I carry it in my wallet.
  6. Sometimes I think my calories burned on MFP is to high and sometimes to low. For more accurate numbers, I do an online search of the specific exercise. I use the sites that ask for my weight, height, amount of intensity and the amount of time. Then, I use that number in MFP.
  7. I started a class at the gym called Bodypump. It is great from arm and legs. Google it, you might enjoy it.
  8. I had to have a high bmi or 100 lbs or more overweight. I had to journal my diet for 6 months.
  9. This is only the beginning
  10. Yea!!!!! That is on the beginning.
  11. From this forum I see that different surgeons tell us different things.
  12. I was told that caffeine can cause band erosion.
  13. Wow. Thanks for sharing. I guess sugar is sugar, natural or not.
  14. Go girl. That is wonderful.
  15. You don't have to go to the gym. You can work out on your own but that don't work for me. I have a complete gym in my house that is rarely used. I also have a bunch of dvd's. I need to work out with other people. I loved the comradery at the gym. I rather do Zumba at the gym then alone at home. Find something that you like to do and try a few classes. First, I started with Zumba and was encouraged to do other classes. I have fun while excersing. The important think is to keep moving. A body at rest stays at rest. A body in motion stays in motion. So get to moving.
  16. My doc said mushies for the day and the fill then diet as tolerated. It amazes me that every doc is different.
  17. I have the Realize band. 11 weeks post op and no problems. The best of luck to you.
  18. That is normal. I didn't have restriction with my first fill of 4cc. Got 3 cc fill today.
  19. I was banded on 4/3/12. 1st fill was 4 cc with NO RESTRICTION. 2nd fill was today of 3cc. That's a total of 7cc in a 9cc band. Praying for some restrictions now.
  20. Don't forget about the inches. They are non scale victories but just as important.
  21. Your not doing anything wrong. That is normal.
  22. Call your doctor just to make sure but I would be to worried.
