  1. Good morning everyone. Thank you so much for your post and response all of them were really helpful. It feels good to know that there are others out there that have felt or are feeling the same way I do. I have uped my work out and really been doing a pretty good job with my food ( I think) and am not giving up. I will continue to keep it reall with you all and my self and look forward to one day being a success story like you all.
  2. Thank you everyone. This was helpful. Cazzy becareful though because if you read my post I never once said that I did not want to exersize and did not want to do my part. I have lost 90lbs on my own pre lapband surgery, I was simply asking for support and advise not a beat down.

    Gained Weight! Argh!!

I want you to remember that the heavier you are the faster the weight typically comes off and vise versa. Loosing weight is an indvidual experince and you should be proud of the 14 lbs so far.. not many people can say they have lost 14 lbs and kept it off for 7 weeks with little restricton. You wont fail so dont give up in a few weeks when you have lost a big chunk of weight you wont even remember this time. Keep going and congradulations again.

    First Fill Yesterday

Congrats Mom2Many.. I am excited to hear that your first fill left you feeling full with such a small amount of food. I was banded 3/21 and have my first fill scheduled on 5/17 and can not wait. Can you tell me what if any pain you felt and any tips on what to expect. Congradulations again very proud of you. !!@!@

Oh No! Here Come The Food Police!

Thank you very much for posting this.As a newly banded person I strugle with the constant glares from my partner who says honey.. did you over eat or have you eaten to much when ever I touch my stomach .. it could be because i have an itch or i am just getting to know this foregin object in my stomach or perhaps i have eaten to much or maybe not enough. I havent had a fill yet but do have some restriction and what i have and am learning is that not matter what I eat if it does not fill me up I will be eating again in a half hour anyway so I am going to eat good foods that stick with me for hours that might be higher in calories but in the end its better because I eat less overall during the day because I am fuller longer. This WLS journey is a peronal one and one that is expensive and dramatic and none of us start out to fail. Thank you to the supportive food lovers in my life but back off ... I didnt put it on in 1 day and it wont come off in 1 day. I think me and my honey maybe having a talk to day lol.. thanks again for the post I hope others read your wise well written words.

    ?'s From A New Bandster

I was wondering this myself. My surgeon has me waiting a full 8 weeks before he will give me a fill however my best friend had hers done a week before by a different surgeon and her doctor is only making her wait 6 weeks ugh.. frustrating but i will be ok because i am still learning how to chew slowly even with no fill i do hav some restriction. LOL not sure if that helped.

    Post Op Advice Please :)

The first 2 weeks were hard for me to get in and out of bed. I would recommed you using a step stool if you have a high bed like mine and dont push yourself to much. Its important for you to get in tune with your body and take it slow. Your body will tell you when your ready. Today is my 1 month surgerversary and im still sore but it has gotten a lot better. Good luck!

  14. Hello Everyone... I am so excited to post here and love the site. I was banded 3/23 . My starting weight was 243 and this mroning i weiged in at 231 so a total loss of 12 pounds YAY .. I did not have a pre op diet and was cleared to move to mushies yesterday YAY again. My questions is .. is it normal to feel hungry this soon after being banded? I dont have any fill and my first post op appointment is 4/5 and i am SCARED of gaining weight and overeating but i do feel hungry and feel like i have little restriction now that the swelling is going down.
