  3. I am trying to figgure out why anyone would go and have the lapband put in and want to "eat around the band"' date=' "& cheat" . Was it so easy to pay for the surgery? Was it so easy to go under with anesthesia?

Was it easy to walk and get those darn gas bubbles out? Was it easy to do a 2-3 week liquid only diet?

Was it easy having the pain pills cause Constipation? Is life better living in obesity city? For me I am going to say NO to all these questions. And then I ask this: Why do you want to sabatauge your weight loss for some crappy food that got you obese in the first place? Thank you.[/quote']

Ahh...I'm going to type this up and keep it with me. I haven't eaten around the band yet but in case I think about it I would read this first.

  4. I have not been banded yet' date=' hopefully next month if all goes well. However, I have found my saving grace in solving my severe sweet tooth, Extra Dessert Delights Chewing Gum. My favs are Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie and strawberry Shortcake. They are so yummy and satisfy my sweet tooth....Yippee!!![/quote']

I heard you shouldn't chew gum when banded...or maybe it's only initially. It's on another thread here somewhere. I know you're not banded yet but you might want to ask your doc about it for after.

  5. I got a fill last Thursday . It's kicking in today' date=' my fills usually take a week before I notice a difference.[/quote']

Im glad you mentioned this...I got my first fill on Tuesday and was wondering when I'd feel a difference.

  6. Then add insult to injury' date=' when I urped it up in the restaurant toilet, I got the backsplash in the eye! And I mean it was perfect aim!! That is when I learned that if you put a seat protector on the Water before you hurl, it will stop the plop and splash back.[/quote']

Good to know about the seat protector...thanks!

  7. I have my post op today, my first fill, and a appointment with the nutritionist. Surgery was 4/19. I am so excited. Weight loss has been slow for me as well...I keep going up two, down 2. Total loss 24 lbs, 7 lbs since surgery. I can eat whatever just slightly less than I used to.
