I love my protein shake. It is Pure Protein in Frosty Chocolate. Yum! I got it at Walmart but ive seen it at the different vitamin stores too.

I think Ill keep some stuff for my son but bring most of it to work...they'll eat it all up.

I have the best juicer ever...it is called Hurom slow juicer. I got it from William-Sonoma. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. You get way more juice from your fruit and veggies...so you use less at a time because it gives you more.

It will get easier...trust me. The first few days are hard. I originally had to do two weeks...my surgery was scheduled for yesterday but they pushed me back to next Thursday because I lost my voice...anyway my point is now I have to do one more week of a preop diet (2 shakes and 1 lean meal). You just have to push through...yah I get hungry...but they want your body to get used to liquids...that's all you'll have for a while. I would definitely check out your protein shake though to make sure it has plenty of protein...I make mine on skim milk. I love Pure Protein in Frosty Chocolate. For dinner Ive been grilling chicken breast, have some cottage cheese and steamed broccoli. Ive lost 15 lbs in two weeks. Good luck!!

I pulled a muscle about two weeks ago in my rib area. If was from doing a row machine. I went to Urgent care it hurt so bad...it even hurt to breathe. I took 800 mg of Ibuprofen 3x a day for about 5 days and the inflammation went away.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I truly appreciate all your insight. They ended up rescheduling me for next Thursday. Im a little disappointed but Im okay. I also got antibiotics from my pcp in case it's bacterial...pcp said it is too early to tell but if I haven't improved by Friday to take the antibiotics. Sooo anyway week of my preop diet. Ive lost 14 lbs so far...if they dont get me in for a band soon I might not need this surgery...j/k

Okay, scheduled for surgery tomorrow. I have been having some allergy issues...drainage in throat...feel it in the ears but I feel okay...not run down, dont have that sick feeling. Im not even blowing my nose, not even stuffed up a little...okay maybe just a little stuffy. Ive lost my voice though...literally I cannot speak. Which is causing me angst to not talk about my feelings regarding tomorrow to those close to me. Met the doc yesterday and he was a little apprehensive as I was whispering my questions to him...he said are you sure you dont want to reschedule...I said no, no I feel fine...etc. If you were me...have been waiting so long but never had the means to do this but finally do. I just want to start this...I dont want to wait anymore. Would you reschedule for next week or continue as planned?

I am so nervous. So many emotions running through me. Wish me luck....Im scared and happy....and cant even fathom what this could help me do. I was overweight starting at 7 and was an obese teenager and adult. Today is going to fly by I know it.

My last appt is today too...I meet the surgeon as well. Im worried because I have a sore throat he will call off the whole thing. Im losing my voice and everything...We will see. Im excited for this visit though...have fun today!!

Some people go to Mexico...would that be an option for you? I dont know if they have the same standards but I think you are going to run into that problem quite a bit Im guessing. Good luck!
