1. I'm going through the same thing. The doctor challenged me to lose 15 pounds, then he would try and get me in sooner. So I'm working it down 7/15 pounds. A good Protein helps and low or no carb is best. I get crabs from fruit and vegetables only. The place I got my protein gave me a chart. I hope it helps.
2. I'm still pre op and need to lose 15 pounds before I can schedule surgery. Last week I went out looking for Proteins, and found what in my opinion is the best ever. I got pro7ein in vanilla. It's very light you mix it with Water. But I also mix it with almond butter or fruit before workout. It has 35 grams of Protein in 10oz. I'm so excited I found it and wanted to share with you all. http://vitasport.net/vitasport/products/protein/pro7ein-synthesis
3. Thats great! I'm also feeling the weight loss bug. I'm so motivated, and excited to get a work out in every day. I'm working on that 15 pounds to move my surgery date sooner.
4. I started taking 2 a day 4 months ago I'm still pre op and already have thin hair thanks to pcos. I have noticed new growth.
5. It will get better. Try a different Protein, the one I use keeps me satisfied and I'm 270 so I know what you mean about being on a reduced calories, keep drinking Water. I'm on 2-3 shakes a day. For lunch I have 2 egg white omelet with veggies, and for dinner some protein and salad loaded with veggies. About the pills I would call and ask them doctor if you can take it before surgery its a powerful stimulant that may have side effects.
6. I don't think that's the best thing for you. I think homemade is the better option.
7. I'm preop but I started using pro7ein. It's very light you mix it with Water. It has 35 grams of Protein in 10oz. I like it but I want to check with my doctor if I can use it post op for the first stage. http://vitasport.net/vitasport/products/protein/pro7ein-synthesis

10. Hi I'm still pre op but in my class we learned that all protein drinks count as part of the 68oz of liquid you need to take it. I hope this helps.
11. I use it to help stimulate my endocrine system to help with my hormone imbalance and period. Maca is a root plant native to Peru. It is considered both a food and a medicine by indigenous people. It is consumed by the people of the highlands of Peru of all ages -from three year olds to the elderly. It looks something like a small turnip, either cream-colored or purple when it is harvested. It is rich in Calcium, magnesium, phosphorous and Iron, and contains trace minerals, including zinc, iodine, copper, selenium, bismuth, manganese and silica, as well as B Vitamins. It also contains four alkaloids proven in scientific investigation to nourish the endocrine glands, including the reproductive system of men and women. Maca has adaptogen qualities, that is, its effects are appropriate to the age and sex of the person using it. It has a long list of uses because of its broad range of nutritional and medicinal properties discovered by both Indians of the Peruvian highlands in ancient times. http://www.wholeworldbotanicals.com/herbal_maca

15. Hello I'm still pre op, but I learned in my Kaiser classes that protein drinks count as part of your 64oz you should take in per day. Your goal should be to consume 4-6 oz per hour. so sip all day. I hope this helps.
