Unexpected Pre Preop Diet! Here We Go, Buckle Up!

So, i was emailing the nurse today and i mentioned that i had gained weight. I was 250 in Feb. when I sent my paper work in initially. In april i was 260 when i had the consult with the doctor. And now i'm about 275. food funerals are partially to blame, and i think that the fact that i lost 40 lbs doing weight watchers, then did a juice fast , then started eating bad again...i gained back everything and then a few lbs.

The nurse said that since my bmi was 42, and now is 47....he likes to watch his patients over a 45 BMI more closely. So shes suggesting that i start the diet immediately. For the next week and ..6 days? I need to replace 2 meals with Protein shakes (im also going to eat low carb) and then july 24th as scheduled, start the Protein shake (only) pre op diet.

Here we go. I was excited to start and now im starting earlier then i was going to!!

Wish me luck and im sorry in advance if i turn into a complete bitchy monster :) lol

I'm going through the same thing. The doctor challenged me to lose 15 pounds, then he would try and get me in sooner. So I'm working it down 7/15 pounds. A good Protein helps and low or no carb is best. I get crabs from fruit and vegetables only. The place I got my protein gave me a chart. I hope it helps.
