I'm doing great! Super excited for the 26th! I was so sick yesterday and last night but I think it was a 24 hour bug. I feel much better this morning. I hope I can keep this positive attitude up all the way till they wheel me into the OR!

I had implanon put in Oct 2011.....I talked to my surgeon to make sure it would be enough coverage post op so I don't get pregnant.....he said I should check with my obgyn. .....so I just called and talked to her nurse and she was like "ummmm yeah it should be fine" she acted like she wasn't sure. Kinda freaks me out! Anyone know if implanon is still effective after RNY?

Congrats on all of your accomplishments! My pre op diet is 5 days. First 3 days are full liquid with protein shakes and the last 2 are clear liquid. Surgery on Nov 26h......welcome to RNY Talk!!

That is so awesome!!! I keep thinking what my family Christmas pictures will look like next year!!! Sooooo exciting!!!

OMG.....I have a bullet proof immune system....so I thought. I haven't been sick in almost 5 years! ! Of course 8 days preop and I feel like $hit!!! Fever, nausea, diarrhea.....the works...... praying this bug will be gone by next Monday!

My surgery is Nov 26th too! Honestly I am so OVER this whole process I could scream!!!! I have been on this rollercoaster ride since March and ready to start my new life already!!! I am so done with stuffing myself with food, not being able to tie my shoes, and hating What I see In the mirror!! We can do this ladies!!!!

I feel like I am one of a few that is NOT writing letters.....I have 110% faith in my surgeon, God, and the surgical team that everything will go wonderful!!! I feel like writing letters will just make me worry more. I let my friends and family know how much I care and love them everyday. Not bashing on anyone that does write letters.....just think it might freak me out even more.

What time is your surgery??? Maybe we can walk the halls together after surgery!!!

Welcome kauaigirl!! Dawn.....so glad you are my surgery sister!!!! We can do this!!! I went to my preop class last Tuesday and there were 13 of us!!! So excited to start this journey!!!!

Thanks! I am OK with it now but that might change when there is a delicious spread in front of me..... we shall see....my moto is....I will not cheat, cheating is what got me in this shape to begin with!

Smh.....I will be on a liquid diet for Thanksgiving (surgery Nov 26th!!) ......not sure how this is going to go considering I have to work and we do a huge pot luck! I'm going to have to hide!!! Anyone else in my boat?

I have done everything alone too......my mom is coming to stay with me after surgery but the way I feel is even if nobody else cares enough to be there, I am doing this for myself! So screw them! : )
