My surgeon wanted me to wait 18 months but I became pregnant at 13 months out. I'm 16 weeks and so far, so good!

My OB prefers I take Zantac while pregnant.

I'm right there with you! Approaching my 1 year surgiversary and haven't lost in months. It seems I'm permanently stalled! I need to exercise and I need motivation.

Melissa, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. As for your weight loss struggles, I could've written this post myself! I'm stuck at 210 and can't budge. I'm going to be following this post for inspiration.

I'm impressed that at a year you've followed your diet so well! I'm almost 5 months out and I've had sweets. They do make me sick if I eat much, but otherwise it's been ok. Congrats on your success!

75 lbs is phenomenal! I'm at 4.5 months and have lost 64. Great job!

Yes, Dexter is right! I have a long body and short legs. Unfortunately I inherited this from my dad. He's 5'9 but when he's sitting he's taller than everyone in the room. Oh well, it was just a thought. I imagine my goal weight my be a little more than someone with long legs and a shorter torso.
-
I'm just curious if anybody else has the same situation. I'm 5'6 but when I'm sitting I'm actually taller than my husband who's 6'! I'm wondering how this affects my sleeve size and my "goal" in the end? Anyone else?
-
I was sleeved on 4/27 and I've lost 59 lbs so far. I'm feeling really good! Half way to goal.

I'm losing hair, but not as bad as I'd feared. I started with massively thick hair, so I can afford to lose a little.

I did know about the gallbladder issues, but I had mine out in 2002. However when I was a teenager my Mom did Optifast and lost over 50 pounds and she had to have her gallbladder out because of it, so I guess I knew even back then! Our bodies are interesting!

I've seen him on MFP within the past few days.

My temps stayed at 99-100 for the first week after surgery. Then they just went away! My surgeon said to call if they hit 101. Congrats on your surgery!

I knew I shouldn't have eaten ice cream but I did anyway and now I'm paying the price! I feel so nauseated! On a deeper level I have to wonder why I felt the need to eat it at all? This is an interesting journey.

Who knows what he dickiedoo syndrome is?It's when your belly is so big you can see what our Dickie do! Lol

I'm having major leg aches too. I have trouble sleeping at night. I had surgery on April 27th and I just had a follow up with my surgeon last week and he said that it may have to do with the way the weight shifts after losng and how your joints realign. I don't know if I explained that correctly, but when he explained it to me it made sense.

Hi everyone... I have fibromyalgia as well as an unidentified autoimmune disorder. I was curious if any of you who have had surgery already (who also have these issues) had any issues with flares because of the stress of the surgery?I have CFS and Fibromyalgia. I'm 2 1/2 months post surgery and doing pretty well. I've had my days that are hard, but overall not much different than before surgery. I've had more pain in my hips (which Doc believes is due to losing weight and carrying myself differently). I've only had one flare and that was after I took my kids on vacation and overdid it. I'm sure you'll be okay.

You look fantastic! Thank you for being an inspiration.

I've been having very achy hip joints. I wonder if that has to do with the weightloss?

Congratulations!!

I haven't conceived without the help of clomid (thanks to PCOS) in 17 years. This past May I was surprised to learn that I ovulated on my own AND I'm pregnant! My vsg is totally the reason!
