Thanks everyone. I am off the morphine pump now and starting to feel some soreness. I am being discharged at 2 pm. I was just here overnight. Thanks again I will keep posting progress

Last night was pretty comfortable. I had morphine pump at my disposal. I slept rather well. Today I feel pretty sore but nothing like imagined. Pain is about 4. Already went for two walks to get blood moving. Just started liquids. Nurse says one tiny cup per half hour. It's amzing but felt kind of full sensation with first cup. I should get released later today, ready to go home.ill keep everyone posted as I go.

I'm still at hospital. First of all Kaiser permente is best, couldn't have made it easier.Op went well felt extreame pain about an 8, probably not naausia then anything first 45 minutes after. Once they hooked morphine pump veena smooth sailing. Already went for two times , already took my first leak. Tomarrow start with liqueds and liquid pain meds. I Thu.k everyone is differnent because this lady that went after me, she sound like they best her with a bat. Once the give anesthesia you knock out a.d wake up in recovery. I expect it to be harder but over all I am super saftisfied.

I'm in my room now , I so far have had it rather easy. Pains at 5, pain pump helps. Most pain wAs first 45 after surgery, burped it all away. We'll see how goes tomarrow. So far its been pretty easy, knock on wood probate ly hunch myself. Goodnite god bless

So tomarrow is big day, Ive been pretty brave to this point cause I know this needs to be done. Earlier today i was really nervous feeling in my gut. I am sure its normal. There was no pre-op diet for me but I had my last double-double for lunch. I am so ready for tomarrow. my surgery isnt till 1pm , i wish it would have been in the AM. But its OK. This will be my last post in pre-op. I will start posting in post op after today. Wish me luck and throw a prayer my way.

So my journey started over ten years ago. Thats when I decided I need WLS, over the years I gained more and more wieght. Countless diets and atempts to lose wait failed. And with no means to afford WLS. I even tried to purchase Insurance to have WLS but to my surprise you cant buy Insurance if your Obese. I am a Barber by trade and one day I seen an ad for Insurance for Barbers no questions asked if you joined this association for barbers. I joined and was able to purchase Kaiser Ins. They truley are a blessing they got me on the right track. My first doctors app. was on Nov 8. 2011. I had many issues I wieghted in at 458, much to my surprise. Anyway they signed my up for options program that last 12 weeks long, taught me how to calorie count and got me on right track. I have lost 63 pounds pre-op. My surgery is scheduled for tomarrow April 20 at 1pm at Kaiser West La. I am not scared maybe a bit nervous but definatley ready. Today i have to be on a liquid diet, lucky i think because I hear the horror stories about 2 week pre-op diets. So tomarrow is my big date i am so ready to start my new life , with the instructions I have receaved and this tool I am ready to jump in head first. I will keep you all posted. I am gonna start blogging more often , because i found it very conforting to hear from other people that going threw this journey.

my surgery is friday 420, ive done everything they asked of me including loose my 10%. But i cant seem to kick the coffe, will this affect my surgery, Will i still want to drink it after surgery? Can i say goodbye tomarrow? One last cup wont hurt right?

IM HAVING SURGERY ON THE 20TH , NO DIET HERE EITHER JUST NO FOOD AFTER MIDNIGHT NIGHT OF SURGERY

I have lost 65 pounds pre-op, but this last week has been tough. Feels like I am breaking up with a favorite girlfriend. Glad to see her go but I am gonna miss her. Last night I had a bit of a nightmare dreaming the worst possible scenerio. Up to now really haven't been nervous but I guess I am human. Never had any doubts about surgery , but now I have a few. I know I need to do this, but can't help but be a bit scared. I guess I need a bit of reassurance, can anybody help with this? Scared that I am gonna wake up still hungry like always but not being able to eat. Will I feel differant about food? Where will I look for comfort now?

its happen to me in my left thigh, sometimes my thiegh will go numb like a burning sensation. And sometimes when i sleep my hand goes numb. Doctor says it siatic nerve from being overwieght. Since i have been getting for Sleeve i have lost 65 pounds. it hasnt been affecting my latley.

Ok I'm having surgery on April 20, my pre-op appointment is April 18. My doctor has not put me on any pre-op liquid diet. I have lost 65 pounds preparing for sugery, i dont know if thats relevent. My question is anybody else not get liquid diet and how will this affect my surgery?

I'm going April 20 friday, not nervous but very anxious to get started on my new life. I am down 63 pounds since i started progam. Good luck to you and me

i am a barber , Ive shared my future life style change ive told everyone. i too am on the boards and all youtube videos every night. Its been a long six months for me too. I am scheduled for april 20.....cant wait and good luck with your surgery.

Wow so happy, just got my date April 20 in Kaiser West LA .......I am som ready

So when i started my treck first doctors app. was on Nov.9 I wieghed in at 459 (bad shape), Today I wieghed myself and I was 395, I cracked the 400's. I havent been under 400 in ten years. I am so ready for my sugery, that by the way should be next month. I just want to thank all the people that post there stories they are truley motivating. I will keep everyone posted . Cant wait for my day.

So iam 5'10 i wiegh 400, i have lost 58 pounds getting ready for surgery. I had my mind set on gastric Bypass. Today i went for app. with surgeon, he recommended that for my size and since i am doing good already loosing wieght . He suggested that I have Gastric sleeve instead. My question is what does evrybody think should i have stuck with gastric Bypass? i just feel that if im gonna do this that i should go all out, I agreed with doctor about sleeve and will be having surgery next month. I just dont want to have second thoughts about switching surgery. I need some reassurance that i will loose as much wieght with sleeve. This my first post on sleeve site because all my other post were on bypass site. Help me with second guessing myself.
