So i'm waiting for my surgeons office to submit my paper work to medicare for approval so I can get my surgery date and the lady keeps telling me she doesn't have a submitting date from medicare!! sooooo I call medicare and they state that she could have submitted the day it was approved which was June 28, 2012.. so I ask myself WTF is going on here!!.. i'm sooooo freaking frustrated cause I told the surgeon that I needed surgery before the summer was over because the kids go back to school and it is harder for me to deal with!! that's why I started Allllll this in April!! i'm sooooo mad right now!! well thanks for letting me vent.. My surgeons office explained that since this is a new medical procedure that is being covered it might take as long as a month for approval.. Sent from my SPH-D710 using VST

Just received a call from my surgeons office, she called to tell me that medicare and medicaid has approved the sleeve gastrectomy but has to wait for a submission date so she can submit my paper work.. I printed out the report and faxed it over to the surgeons office and she just called me, (in a sweeter voice.. Not annoyed) lol and stated that they are taking action and are calling medicare to find out an effective date so they can proceed with processing my paper work.. So you might want to do that..
