  1. I am a year out on my sleeve. This whole time I have been having problems with Hair loss like most weight loss surgery patients, but my mom had seen a commercial for this Shampoo from garnier and told me about it. It is call fall fight. I have been using it for about a month now and i can tell a big difference. It has Biotin in it and you massage it into your scalp, my comb does not have as much hair in it as before. I have been wanting to share this so others can check it out. Hope this is helpful to everyone.

  2. I totally agree. I bought the big bottle of BA chewable Vitamins and finally tossed them. Yuck. I switched to adult Gummy Multivitamins until I could tolerate the OTC recommended Vitamins by 21st Century.

This is what I started taking about two months after surgery:

    Morning:

Mega Multi for Women by 21st Century

    Vitamin D - 2000 IU

    Vitamin B12 - 500 mcg

    Calcium Citrate with D

    Biotin - 5000 mcg

    Dinner:

Mega Multi for Women by 21st Century

    Iron (Ferrous sulfate)

    Bedtime:

    calcium citrate with D

    Magnesium 300-500 mg

Has it helped with the hair loss? My nails are flaky and break easily too, does that help with that?

  3. I am 3 1/2 months out and I still can not get the hang of the meal plans. I seem to sway back to my old ways, only in smaller amounts. I have lost weight but I feel like I could lose more. This has really been bothering me. :( Today I was craving potato chips and french onion dip. I couldn't give into my craving because we had not chips but one of the girls here gave me some rice cakes and I dipped 2 in the dip just to satisfy my craving and now I feel so guilty about that. I just feel like I have been on the wrong track since day 1 and I do not know how to get back on. I am just looking for some suggestions of meal plans. Take into count I am on prednisone and have been for over a year so I am afraid that might be part of it but have not confirmed that with my doctor. Any help would be great, sorry to lay it all on here.

  4. I am glad you found us, Welcome. I too have a severe addiction to carbs. Still working on it actually. I am in my early 30s and had diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease and the overall feeling of just sluggishness. I have since gotten off my diabetes meds, halved my blood pressure pills, kidney disease is getting better and I have a lot of energy. It is so worth it!!!!!!!!

  5. I have done very good since my April surgery not over doing it and getting sick, well that all came to a halt last night. I ate too fast and before getting in the car to go somewhere, I had to let it all out in the front yard. That is not too bad except I felt bad for the girl walking down the street that had to hear and see it.

  6. I had my sleeve on April 16th. I have been on Prednisone since April '11 for a kidney problem. I have noticed that even though us sleevers have had our hunger hormone removed that I still get hungry, and i don't mean in my head hungry, I mean my sleeve growls. I eat every couple of hours. I am still losing weight but I am worried that when I go off the prednisone that the hunger thing will stick. Any advice or anyone else have this problem. When I said something to my surgeon about still being hungry, he just said he finds that hard to believe.
