Hi everyone Im a 30yr old, just got my panniculectomy approved through Kaiser here in So. Cal. I have a lot of excess skin in the stomach area. I went from weighing as much as 409lbs 3yrs ago to now a 215lbs. Seen my plastic surgeon 1st week of May & yesterday (9/23) i finally got the call to setup up my surgery day. Feeling nervous & anxious all at the same time. Was wondering if anyone has had this procedure performed? and if yes i want to hear hoe the progress is going? Thanks.

Today marks my official 1yr since i got sleeved. How fast time flew. Regrets? None! I'm currently down 152lbs. in one year. Went from 380lbs. to now at 228lbs. Can't wait to see what the next year has in store for me. Any other out there? I wanna hear from you....

I'm about 12months (on Feb. 14) and i feel i can eat more now. Not too much but just enough to fill me up. Which sometimes i feel a little worried since i can tolerate diff. foods & i still manage to drop weight. I am at the point were my weight loss has slowed down. I've lost 152lbs. already. 8lbs. away from my goal. But i believe i will set my goal to 210lbs. instead of 220lbs. I've notced with certain meats its little difficult like for example beef is a little tougher but tolerable. chicken i have no problem with. Fruits & veggies i have no issues with.

Ive been back 6 days since surgery. Stay hydrated. I noticed my 1st day back i was a little light headed & felt woozy. Emailed my Dr. and was told to stay hydrated and make sure im taking my Protein Shakes. So i take 2 Protein shakes to work, consisting of 30mg each. That does the job for me & pacing yourself. Dont rush into things mistake i made since i stay on my feet all 8hrs and only sitting for 15min breaks & lunch. But everything will eventually fall through. I feel much better now. Good Luck!

I feel the same. I feltl like i was able to gobble down a lot of Water 1st week out. I even asked myself the same question. I didnt feel any pain or discomfort at all. Everyone will react differently. Currently 1month & 1wk out and i can finish 16oz water bottle in about 30mins.

Was having the same problems first 4 days, was told to drink "Milk of Magnesia" by my nutrionist. Currently 1 month & 1 week post & things seem to be back to normal. Stopped taking meds. probably 4 days after surgery.

Had mine performed on Nov 21st. they removed7lbs. of excess skin & fat. Recovery is going ok, I can say i havent needed to use my "hydrocodone" (painkillers) they prescribed me at all which is a good thing. Been wearing a binder since i left the hospital procedure took about 2-3hrs. Dr. gave me 6wks recovery time due to the kind of job i do which requires lifting and mostly standing. Restricted to not lifiting anything heavier than a phonebook. And i have 2 drains inserted under the my skin to drain the excess blood/fluid. i should at least have one drain removed this Friday (11/29) it being that my right drain has decreased in Fluid output & my left drain is draining more.
