    Hey everyone. Glad to see everyone back and recovering from the weekend. Laura... I think you might have my luck. I'm sorry about your new house, that must be so frustrating, Builders should have insurance to cover that. Not that it makes it any better. Remember that is what I did for a living, new construction so if you have any strange questions, ask away. So, how is this, I can't get a real job but I have a bartending interview tomorrow and going on a nother one in a few minutes. Not what I want to do full time but man, it could be good money while i find the perfect day job. Maybe even meet my knight in shining armor??? LOL

    TracyK My start was 278 and my realistic goal is 170. I'll readjust when I get to that point. Hit 226 this weekend and that was with working too - where I usually gain and after wings for dinner. Just a little motivation, nice to have someone in the same place. Everyone is doing so great, this entire thread and you all are my motivatioin. Off to shower then to the gym, then running for the day and bartending classes start tonight. Tomorrow is an even longer day.

    hey all... I am a member of the Y and they have machines that hook up to a web site that tracks the weights you lift and cardio activity, you can manually log everything. It is great, you put your weight in and it calculates your calories burned and a bunch of other crazy stuff. I don't know about signing up but you might want to check it out... fitlinxx.com I find it helps motivate me. My weight machines are hooked up to the system so I log in to everything I do there but I also log in mowing my yard, walking, water aerobics... you get the drift. Kat... you and Rick are in my thought and prayers Judy, you are so fantastic... I would love to have a 1/4 of your energy. I have been really working hard at low sugar things, baked beans? did you make them or buy them... such good protein, or for something like that should I not worry too much about the sugar? I am going to my Dr. on Tuesday and I can't wait!

    TracyK no bread for me, it is my downfall, I know if I figure out I can eat it I will not stop I did just have some really hot chicken wings for dinner, they were soooo good. I just made sure to get extra hot sauce so they were not dry. I was bad and had 8 of them!

    Problem with family....

    I am sorry but understand exactally what you are saying. I had full support of my best friend before surgery and since, she is not talking to me. I have lost a great friendship and I don't even know why. I am sad about it and knew that there was going to be social changes, this one I didn't expect. I will say this, I would not do anything different if I could do it all over again. I feel fantastic and have such great energy - and have lost 31lbs since 4/16 52 since 1/6/07. My suggestion. Step back with your mom, have your surgery, don't talk to her about it, tell her that you appreciate her comments but it is not something you want to argue/or disagree about. Hopefully she will see your improvements and weight loss and will suddenly say how great you look. My family was not all for it, and when they saw me a month after were totally amazed and so happy for me. Stay strong, you need to have a great attitude with the band to have the best results. I have seem worse than mine, but I have a sister bander that has lost over 40lbs. HUGS... I'm here to help

    Hi again, Ok Surgery 4/16 Band, unsure size, but will update when I get my first fill Tuesday Lost 31 since surgery 52 total since Januay Denise, I love your ticker. I found this in prevention and thought it looked great, I love squash...and wanted to share Summer Squash Saute 6 cloves garlic 2 tbs olive oil 1tsp red pepper flakes 3lbs assorted summer squash sliced thin 1/2 tsp salt heat garlic, oil & pepper flakes for 2-3 mins. Add squash & salt, toss to coat, cover and reduce heat to medium-low cook 30 mins. Increase heat to med for 10 mins to cook away most of the liquid 61cals,2g pro., 6g carb, 4g fat, 2g fiber, 149mg sodium Lemmony Stuffed sole 1lb sole or flounder 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper 1 c summer squash saute (see top) 1/4 c dry white wine OR 2TBS freshly squeezed lemon juice mixed with 2tbsp vege broth 1 Tbs butter 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/2 tsp freshly grated lemon zest 1 tsp finely chopped fresh parsley season both sides of fish with salt & pepper. Place 1 fillet on flat surface and spread 2 tbsp of squash evenly over top leaving 1/2" margin on both ends. Roll fillet into a cylinder and secure with pick. Repeat with next pc of fish. Heat oil in pan over medium heat and add sole, seam side up. Cook 2 mins and add wine. Reduce heat to med/low, cover and cook 5 mins longer until fish is opaque. put sole on a place and tent loosely with foil. in pan, add butter, lemon juice and zest. remove from heat, swirl until butter melts and spoon over sole, sprinkle with parsley. 171 cals, 20g Pro, 4g carb, 7g fat, 1g fiber, I just thought I would share, looked like a good summer thing. I'm going to try it tomorrow.

    Terry Good for you for trying all that new stuff. I hate treadmills, so I am going to add stair stepper in for min 5 mins before my weight training and Water aerobics 2-3 times a week. I am happy with repetition. Today.....HUMMMMMMMMMMM... I might mow the lawn, it is a jungle back yard only. Other than that R&R today. I did 5 workouts last week and worked my butt off Friday & Saturday night at the shop and going to get up and do it all over again tomorrow. What am I going to do when I get a job? I won't have any time. LOL

    Morning eveyone you are all doing great Judy, you crack me up! Congrats on all your accomplishments this week. I worked my butt off last night, hot and humid here again, then went out until 3am. I can honestly say I looked semi cute and was not too horribly concerned about how fat I am. 20 lbs and I'll be at the place where I was semi happy with myself - so i just keep telling myself that. The only problem with last night was... I got hungry for dinner and made myself a small salad with a pc of chicken, but by time I got done making it, they turned off the fan to raise the dough, and I got so hot I couldn't eat, had 3 bites and i was full. So around 2am I was starving, nothing open and no fork to finish the salad I brought with me. So I convinced myself to suck it up and not eat, I shouldn't be eating at that hour anyway. Well I got home and there were 3 chicken nuggets in the fridge left over from my son's dinner. I ate 1, way too fast, and a bite of another and i felt like I was going to have a heart attack. I paced and paced until it was gone and went to bed. I also have the worst pains in the back of my legs. I worked out hard last week and then wore my old navy flip flops all weekend to work, mow the lawn and go out. I don't know why but they seem to have something to do with it. I wore them to CountryFest last year and had to walk almost a mile and I thought I was going to die. Legs hurt so bad last year it is part of what is keeping me away from CountryFest this year, I'm afraid it will happen again, no matter what shoes I wear

    29lbs... and you were questioning all this... you silly girl For mushies I had lots of Protein shakes made with yogurt, Protein powder, a spoon of pudding mix for flavor, ice and a some skim milk. Choc version I used 1/2 cup of no sugar coffee icecream, coffee, choc protein powder and choc pudding mix. I love coffee/choc. I would eat choc covered expresso Beans 24/7 if i could. I also made ricotta cheese with egg, garlic, pepper, like I would mix for stuffed shells, put a little sauce on top and some part skim mozz cheese... yummy too finally refried beans with some salsa and some 2% cheddar cheese that is what I lived on for 2 weeks, I hope it helps

    Terry - you are doing great. I was stuck for 4 weeks at 233-236 so I totally understand. I don't eat junk and stuck, so let me tell you how tempted I was to eat a big pc of bread or some pizza. Things happen that throw us off, so this week back to the gym. I have a friend who had surgery in March and has only lost 15lbs. Are you loosing inches? you must be working out... and look at it this way, you are toning up all that yuck! That is what I told myself, Slow and steady wins the race and will help you keep up with the loss. I do know what you are talking about, I want it gone, sometimes I still have a hard time every seeing myself being thin. And why didn't I do the bypass? OK didn't do it because I wanted to do this healthy and try to avoid massive amounts of skin hanging.

    TracyK - YIPEE... I think June is going to be our month ladies... we have had time to adjust and know what we need to do. As for the training bra... I think I'm working on that too Terry- I am in upstate NY and trust me, I know humidity and yesterday it was 95 with 100% humidity, and worked in the pizza shop in the back corner surrounded by 4- 500degree ovens, usually I gain from retaining and it takes me until Monday to get rid of all the bloat from Friday & Sat nights. ard, Tues is my first fill, and my Dr. is very strict, I'm going to have to beg for one. If you are loosing he wont do it, and I was just at the nutritionist at his office 2 weeks ago and was hovering for weeks, and right before my appt I loose another 6lbs. As long as you are loosing 1-2lbs a week he wont do it, and even if you figure on average, I've lost over 3lbs a week if you do it that way. I love him, but he is tough. He thinks i'm hysterical so maybe I can play that card. He was cracking up when I had to ask/beg if I could leave my jewelery in the morning of surgery.

    Thank you... so are you ard 37lbs since the same surgery day as me, that is fantastic. I think this is the motivation I needed. The only thing that scars me is I know I need a fill, but 8lbs since my last visit, I don't know if he is going to give it to me

    Morning everyone I'm so excited, normally when I work when it is hot I gain a couple of lbs. 2 things happened last night, the first, for some reason I was actually sweating last night and actually had to pee, which never happens... So that leads to the 2nd thing... I actually lost... down to 226.5 this am! I am officially past my 1/2 way point! I could do a happy dance. I don't know what I did that was so different as far as not retaining water, but I do know the gym must hav been worth it. So Monday am, back I go! I am so excited. Oh the only other new thing was the fiber sure on Wed.

    You are too funny... before my son 4 years ago i lost a ton of weight, was in a 12/14 and good hooked on thongs.. I know TMI... but I'm excited because I just got some at walmart, which I have never found anythere that fit right... size 8... YEAH That is why you are doing so great... running after the grandson all day. LOL have great night

    Denise - holy crap, go you... I am so uncoordinatd, that is why I love water aerobics. Thanks for the info... TracyK - You are funny with the undies, but true, I just got a bunch of new ones. All my extra Large shirts are getting too big for me, can wear some large but the xlg i feel like I'm hanging out, i am not blessed up there TracyinKs - luck,,, you will be fine I just got in from working in the pizza shop, so tired i just had a dish of icecream for dinner and going to pass out

    Terry You silly girl... I am already addicted. hehehehe I was like that before too, lost 50lbs but was there every day. It feels so great, first couple of days I thought I was going to drop dead on the spot but getting better. 229 does feel great, dropping down to below 230 has been very trying, but now that I did it - it will be a matter of days and I'll stay strong in the 220's. maybe it is a mental thing with me, but I've always been that way.

    I could not update the ticker this am... but I woke up so very excited... 229!!!!YIPEE, got over the hump to the next 10's... Just got back from 1 1/2 water aerobic class. I did 1 class then stayed for 1/2 of the next , when they cooled down from cardio part i left. Laura - I was jealous last month, but I could not do it at that point either, I did the same thing you are doing, park far away, stairs.... but on June 1 I got up and decided it was time. You will get there TracyK - fiber sure worked for me, I felt so much better today... I know TMI but what can you do. I hope everyone has a great day, going to get my pool cleaned from all the leaves this am then off to work at the pizza shop... of course it got hot and humid here again today, just in time for me to work in 100 degree place.

    that is so funny, FattyMcFatFat.... I went from 231 to 237 last week when I got my period, I almost had a breakdown. I am not going to update my ticker until Monday, but this am I was 229!!!! so happy, and is getting me motivated to get to the gym this am, going to do 2 aqua aerobics today if I can get my but up. I love the fiber sure, I think it might be working! LOL Kat, wow, that must have been horrible. I hate family court and I am the nice one... I am owed 1500 in arrears, it took so long to get a decision (over a year) for daycare! and I agreed to $5 a week towards that, and he makes good money! but it is the most stressful thing ever Terry - Congrats on the workout. I can't wait to add more stuff in but I'm following trainers rules.

    They are hot peppers, they come whole with stems and are a funky light color green, not too spicey, but you know you are eating them. I have texture issues so i like them, they kind of crunch. Usually found in antipasta salads with italian meat. that is ok, I love italian cooking, my bff since I was 3 is italian and I learned a lot...LOL

    sooooooo sad I just had my first salad, which was so good, buti put a pepperchini in it, cut up very small and it didn't work so well. They are one of my favorite things ever! I guess no more for me. how ironic, my daughter just tried one tonight and she loves them... I've been trying to have her try one for years.

    TracyinKS - not a queen yet... at the end of the month when I don't have to force myself to go I will be. LOL, at this point just tired of looking at myself TracyK - I tried the fiber sure today, no taste, I put it in a turkey burger at lunch and my 1/2 cup of sugar free icecream and no taste at all. I hope it works, Everyone is doing fantastic, and it seems like we are all getting motivated this month. It has all been such a big adjustment, so now that I know what I need to do.... I'm doing it. LOL

    Ok making lots of phone calls today, just got back from the gym, I am thinking that I might go to water aerobics tonight and take tomorrow off. they offer on Sat am a Bootcamp aqua aerobic class and then 15 min aqua ab workout right after I really want to go to. So Friday off might be good. I get to go for a fill on Tuesday, so excited

    Good morning everyone. Up and about, today is going to be a great day... I can tell. I get up every morning and check my email. I get job postings sent to me, and there was a great one out there so I am going to apply when I get home from the gym. I need another cup of coffee and a clear head to do my cover letters. I have actually gained a lb but. I have lost more inches for a total of 28.5, plus I've been working out hard to try to tone up all this flab. So what a better way to start the day? I got my fiber sure yesterday afternoon so i'm going to try that today
