When did you start with the weights? I am still doing the bans.
My surgeon cleared me at 6 weeks for all exercises including weights, he said start light and stop if you feel pain. I haven't felt any pain and am taking 3-4 spinning classes a week, lifting 3-4 times a week and outdoor running/walking 2-3 times a week. I feel great, you know you body so start small and build up. Lissa had a great tip of low weights but high reps, so I started there. I just don't want to have a lot of loose skin and weights help with that.

I am also an HR Professional and work as an HR Manager in Philadelphia. Not sure if you want to relocate there, but my company is currently looking for an HR Manager. Private message me if interested. Thanks and good luck.

I am totally enjoying working out. Been lifting weights, walking and jogging a nice pace and just started taking spinning classes. I am feeling great. Exercise really helps.

I was sleeved on 3/14, starting weight was 230, 217 day of surgery, 195 today...35 pounds so far. Feeling great, exercising and loving being sleeved. I also am getting bored with my food choices as I pretty much eat the same thing everyday. I need new food options. Any suggestions...

I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. I read these threads all the time and I have seen many comments about three week stalls, it seems common so when I stalled at three weeks I didn't stress over it. I am losing slowly as well, but I am kinda happy about it because its given me the chance to exercise more and tighten up so I avoid having lots of loose skin. I am taking this one day at a time, we have made a huge choice to become sleeved and we are sooo worth it. Stay positive and remember we are losing the weight and eating less, there will be some hills and valleys but we will succeed! Patience, perseverance, persistence....that's the motto! Have a great night

HI all! I will be 4 weeks post op in two days and can barely eat anything. I get very gassy and I feel like I can feel the food moving through my sleeve and it's uncomfortable. I've taken the gas x strips in an attempt to get more food in but I am eating about 2 to 3 bites per meal. I eat protien first as I barely am getting in any food, I am on mushies right now and never thought I would say this considering I once loved food but I don't like eating. I am doing good with my fluids, I love ice Water but struggle with protien shakes so I know I am not getting enough protien. Does anyone else experience this or have any suggestions? I truly appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanx for sharing your story. What Protein do you like? It sounds like you are doing great!! Keep in touch
I am struggling with the Protein, don't like the way it tastes and have tried several different kinds. I have read horror stories on this website about the ingredients in some Protein Shots. I am drinking boost right now, however not for long as it has carbs and sugar but it was recommended for now to assist with getting my strength back up.

So I was wanting to know if there is anyone who is in their late 20's or early 30's who have documented their journey on YouTube? I'm sorry if I hurt people's feelings' date=' but I would like to see someone my age who has gone through this. Or if there is someone that is 5'2" and 230 lbs that would be great too. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you don't have a YouTube video, but around my age and size I would love to hear from you. [/quote']I am 34, 5'3 and started this process at 230 exactly. I went to the WLS seminar in December and was sleeved on 3/14. I lost 10 pounds on the pre op diet and went into surgery at 217, I did have anemia prior to surgery, so my blood levels are still low which leaves me a little weak but everyday is better than the day before. I am taking Iron of course and when I weighed my self today I was 198. No real pain, I stopped taking my pain meds before I left the hospital. I do have heartburn now, but not before surgery and my surgeon used a 38 boogie. You will be fine! Hope that helps.

Jenny do u still have reflux bad as well? We can b sleeve sisters. Lol. Im sore but my life goes on as my kiddos dictate it does. I feel like im whining but I have not had acid in my throat everytime I rest like this since my last baby! Is that normal? Can someone also fill me in onwhy one side of my tummy is soooo much more sore then the other? The not so sore side has the larger incisions?I was sleeved on 3/14 and am now experiencing exactly what you said. Last night I had so much acid in my throat, it was ridiculous. It was at night as well, while I was resting. I am taking Prilosec twice daily but last night was the first night I experienced that. Sucked!

Really helps.[/quote']Thanks so much, where did you get these from? Would love to pick up some tonight!!

What was your Hb before the surgery? Do you know if you lost a lot of blood during the operation itself? Just wondering since this could suggest (among other things) an internal bleed. My hemo was low before surgery about a level 10 then dropped to 7.4 and has been stable at that level since.

Hi everyone,
I found this wonderful resource 2 weeks prior to my surgery. I found myself reading these posts everyday and feeling so encouraged by the people on here. But finally got the courage to join today. I was sleeved on 3/14 and had my gall bladder removed at the same time. Surgery was a success and i have very little pain, stopped pain meds two days after surgery. I am gassy but have been forcing myself to take gasx and sleep on my tummy to force gas to pass. Howver, since surgery my hemoglobin is really low, anemic(7.4) blood level currently, escaped a blood transfusion! I have no appetite and my Dr. Recommends Iron but the script he wrote the pharmacy doesn't carry that brand of iron. I feel like if anybody truly knows how I feel right now, it's the people on here. I feel so fatigued, I know I am not getting enough fluids and am still on Clear liquids. Did anyone have hemoglobin issues, any recommendations for me? Thanks!
