Congrats! You look great!! You are truly a success story!!!

I so agree with you. I would have easily gained 10 this holiday season as I have done in years past. It does feel amazing to eat only to a point and then have to stop because you can't hold anymore. My restriction is such a blessing. It allows me to taste foods and enjoy them as opposed to guzzling them down and feeling remorseful later. We are doing amazing!! Thanks for the great post:)

This was an awesome post Sassafras thanks for sharing! I am a slow loser but having lost 80 pounds in 10 months make me feel amazing, making it through the holidays and wintertime without gaining a single pound makes me feel even better! Can't remember when that ever happened. It's has been a wonderful journey and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Keep up the good work, you are doing great! Your body will adjust and you will reap the benefits of a healthier lifestyle. Make adjustments as needed so you enjoy working out, it can't be something you dread as we have to do it for the rest of our lives. Best wishes!

So glad to know I am not alone. I am always cold and hearing so many of you say your experiencing the same thing is comforting.

Yay Danyell!!! So proud of you. I haven't been on this site in a while. I've been stalled for about 6 weeks and it's gotten me down. I'm 9 lbs from goal and 5 lbs from 100 lbs lost. Can't wait to reach these two goals. I'm still training for my 1/2 marathon and like you I've become addicted to running. I'm up to 7 miles at a time. Seems like with all this running my weight would have just fallen off' date=' but I think my body was just happy at 153. I need to update my ticker as I am 149 now and my goal is 140 (broke my stall Thanksgiving week). Hopefully, it will keep going down so I can get to goal by the end of the year. Please, I pray! Great job to you. You've motivated me to stick with the program. Congrats!!![/quote']
I am sooo with you jhansen71...I too am only 9 pounds from goal and the scale isn't moving. My body loves 153 too. I truly want to get to my goal weight of 145, I want to be there by years end too!! I too am a runner and do about 5-7 miles on my long runs and am also training for a half next March. We can do this and reach our goal weight! What did you do to break your stall? Have you found that you can eat more food now? Please let me know when you reach goal...we can do this!!!!

Hi March Peeps!I made goal today! I'm so excited to be able to say that I have lost 100 pounds. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I can eat a lot more than I want to. I'm fortunate to have developed a passion for running. Since being sleeved' date=' I haven't hit a stall that lasted more than three weeks. I'm so fortunate. I did notice that I had to increase the intensity of my running to get my weight to move. The last five pounds were really slow going.
I hope that everyone is doing well! Happy Thanksgiving!

I exercise about 5-6times a week. I love running and run about 11-15 miles a week and I take 2 60 minute spinning classes plus try to get some weight training in too. I need to get better with doing my weight training regularly. I also get a lot of walking in too...i enjoy being active!!!

Hope your surgery was a success LadyK!!! Welcome to the losers bench...I don't worry about what people will say, because its not important in the grand scheme of things. We must make the choices that are best for us in spite of what others may think, feel, or say, that to me is wisdom. Being able to do what's best for you! Don't be surprised if many people you see regularly don't even notice or mention to you that you are losing weight, it happens. Good luck to you and I wish you a speedy recovery, welcome to the best time of your life!! It has been for me...

Hi' date='I must say the sleep thing is an issue.I have upped my cals today and my carbs and fibre. Will see if this helps.Anyway,it is what it is.Cannot stall forever Im sure!

Try to get 10 hours of sleep too if you can tonight, turn in a little early either today or tomorrow and get some rest so your body can get rejuvenated!!

Renea77' date='my problem with this is that no one eating 800 calories should only lose 2 pounds per month. It just seems very abnormal! The problem is how to change this to speed up the metabolism again....and food along with exercise is the one way to do this.Food is fuel for the body and for fat burning.800 calories just is so little to basically maintain on!Anyhow, what choice do we have now anyway?[/quote']
Hi, have you tried upping your calories to 1000? Are you getting enough sleep? I tend to stall when I don't get enough sleep so I choose a day, eat more carbs(not too many) , less Protein and I sleep as much as I can that day and it has helped me each time I stalled. It seems to shock my body back to losing, dont know if it will work for you, but it does for me. I also exercise 6 days a week, I take cycling classes and run 3-5 miles outdoors each day that I run and do some weight training. I have found many users on this site have posted tips for how they break a stall or what's helpful to help break a stall. I do understand your concerns too.....wish I had more info to help us all move forward and lose more:(

My Dr. told me that weight loss will slow by our six month surgiversary and not to expect huge numbers. So I didn't get upset or stress when I only lost 2 pounds this month. So for those who are stalled, be encouraged. We will continue to lose, even if its just 1 or 2 pounds in a month or longer, it's slow but it's still progress!!

I want to do a lot of the things already mentioned by some others like zip lining, tandem sky diving(without worrying about being too fat to be meet the weight restriction), I want to complete a half marathon next spring(I have already done some 5k's and am doing an 8k in November), I want to continue being healthy, I love that i no longer feel ruled by thoughts of eating food all the time, I want to contingent be amazed by the fact that I AM a size 6....you heard it right, a friggin size 6!!! Haven't been this small in, I don't even remember when!!! I love shopping for clothes, taking pictures and not feeling like the fat friend, because when I am out with friends people call me the skinny one...me lol. The sleeve has given me a new lease on life and I am taking full advantage of it...
-
I have been thinking about trying it,mimhavent yet but I have a friend who loves it and I told her I would try it withher. I will let you know how I managed after the class, we will be doing it within the next few weeks.

I am looking forward to:
Skydiving
Zip lining
Taking pictures in a bathing suit...woo hoo!!!
Clothes shopping...I am loving being a size 6!!
Maintaining a healthy weight
I have to yo-yo dieted for years, just seeing the scale keep going down is still mind blowing to me..I expect it to go back up as it always has...my mind has to catch up with my new body as I still feel like a fat girl in my head and my body is a LOT skinnier lol.

Running is so addictive! I love it and have run a local 5k race each month since June just to challenge myself. I am running a 5k in September and October and then running an 8k in November with my goal to complete a half next spring!! It's so much easier without the excess weight and I get none of the pains I had when I was heavy. I love running outdoors, it's so peaceful, but I will hit the treadmill during bad weather so I don't miss my workout. Congrats to all the runners....we are doing this!!!

LOVE spin class, take it two to three times a week. The gel seat is a MUST unless you like walking like a cowboy the next day lol. Those seats are a pain in the rear(literally). Totally love the class, keep it up if you like it. It burns a lot of calories and is a great workout.
