  1. I had surgery May 16th. In the first few days of being home I kept asking myself "what did I do...what was I thinking." I am now almost 8 weeks out and it is easier. I was lucky not to have any major issues after surgery. It is hard when you are out with family and friends when it comes to eating because you can only eat so much. But I just take my time eating slowly. The positive is the weight that you will lose and the energy that you will regain. I am starting to feel so much better compared to before surgery. Keep your chin up...it does get better!! :D

  2. Finally made it to the losers bench! :D Had surgery on May 16th and doing great! To date a total loss of 34 pounds since the start of my journey in March...YAY!!!! Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences that has helped me along the way and prepared me for what was to come. Keep up the good work everyone!!!!

  3. I talked to my surgeon about that yesterday. He told me at least the first week no riding. After that if I am not taking any pain medications and I feel up to it that i can ride. But then he told me no heavy lifting until he sees me after my 1 week follow up. You may want to talk to your surgeon every surgeon has different guidelines.

  4. Good Morning Everyone,

I am new here to this site. I just started my journey on 03/19 with my first appointment with the surgeon. Put me on the pre op diet right away and said that I needed to lose at least 10 to 15 pounds before surgery. Let me tell you... this diet has been tough. I have often wondered if I am doing the right thing by having surgery. But then I remind myself of the end result...no more meds and a slimmer, healthier me! The diet does work tho because I have already lost 13 pounds. YAY! I have already had my Psych evaluation and preo op tests. Just need a release from the Cardiologist, Nutritionist, and have my Scope. Hopefully they submitt to my insurance for approval soon. I am so ready for the new me and take my spot on the losers bench!!

    Thanks for listening
