March Sleevers..are You Happy W/your Progress?
danyelleb replied to DDFinn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm consuming anywhere between 500-700. I only stalled during week 3. Fortunately I always lose something. The lowest I've lost in a week is .6 and the most in a week is 7 pounds. I exercise five days a week for 50 minutes. My arms are getting crazy flabby and so is my apron. I think I need to add more weight training. This is the thing I need to really work on. I have one more week of school and then I'm on summer vacation. Woo-hoo! This will give me more time to focus on me. I can't decide if I want to do a boot camp thing or maybe use a trainer. -
I Ate, Cried And Threw Up All Within 5 Minutes

Yeah. The season finale is the plane crash. It aired last night AND a spoiler alert would have been nice. Unfortunately I was reading the boards during idol commercials until I came across this thread. -
March Sleevers..are You Happy W/your Progress?
danyelleb replied to DDFinn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Still chugging along here. Lost six pounds last week and this week .2. I've done everything the same, so... I'm trying to adjust to my body. I HATE my apron! The arms r getting a bit flabbier too. I've been doing weight training and walk/jog on the treadmill. I'm anxious to get to the 170s, it's my next mini goal. Currently I'm 182.2. Surgery weight 212. Starting weight 235. Sleeved March 12th. -

March And April Sleevers How Are You Doing? What Are You Really Eating? (Confessions)
danyelleb replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I forgot about confessions- I ate peanut butter cup and got so sick. I havent done that again I tried eating chicken and a hamburger patty too soon and got the slimes and felt horrible. Now I can tolerate pretty much anything as long as I eat slowly and don't overdo it. -
March And April Sleevers How Are You Doing? What Are You Really Eating? (Confessions)
danyelleb replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I'm down a total of 53 pounds. My starting weight was 235. Surgery weight was 212 and now I'm 182. I feel great about my loss. I don't feel like I'm struggling with head hunger. I stay away from all carbs except those in beans and yogurt. No flour products. I eat protein- shake, bar, cheese, beef jerky, and lean meats. I was sleeved march 12th. -
Ha! I'm flipped. I'm an afternoon- late eve eater. I have an insatiable appetite when I get home from work. I need a pm snack and usually I get so busy I end up forgetting. Yesterday I was starving after dinner for hours until I finally broke down and ate.

Hi all! I'm in Ceres. I had my sleeve done in Fresno at Kaiser too.

You and me both sister! Green is totally my color. Sleeved 3/12 and down 23 pounds. Current weight is 189. Slow and steady, right?!

March Sleevers..are You Happy W/your Progress?
danyelleb replied to DDFinn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi! It seems to defy all logic when we consume 400 calories and do not lose weight. It's crazy. At six weeks I have lost a total of 23 pounds since surgery. I wish it was a whole helluva lot more, but it's 23 pounds. Couple that with preop weight loss and I'm doin okay I guess. -
Wow! I'm so happy that you are doing so well. I'm at 6 weeks post op. the past couple of days have been kind of funky. I seem to be more frazzled and I'm not handling stress very well. I'm struggling with staying regular. My tummy is not happy and milk of magnesia makes me wanna yack. However, last week was okay. Im ready for the weekend. I think it might help me regroup. How's everybody else doin?

Ha! I just replied to a thread about bad breath. I totally was super stinky. It's getting better now- OR a rat doesn't smell their own cheese. Lol! Anyhow- super stanky. Bad breath, urine and body odor. Even tho I was stinky I was super clean in the effort of trying to stay stench free.
-
At least it's just your breath! My whole body chemistry changed. My breath, urine, and body odor. My doctor laughed as I was carrying on about the stench. He said eventually it will go away. It's ketosis. Hang in there!

Whahoo! That's crazy exciting. I'm so happy for you! -
Don't worry about it. It's one bit. Now that's behind you though don't overdo it and stray from the pre-op plan. Hang in there! You can do this!

Wow, congrats! That is great news to share. Yay you!!

How Long After Surgery Were You Sore?
danyelleb replied to randalljohn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It took me a little under four weeks. Everything seemed to go back as it was- not as exhausted, no abdominal pain, increased stamina to work through the day and exercise. -
Reality Check! Someone Kick Me In The Head!
danyelleb replied to mullet head's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mmmm, that sounds tasty. I'm not a regular drinker though. I average about three drinking "events" a year. My hubby and I take turns being the DD. He's more of a drinker than I am. Anywho, I am going to have to at least try this one when I am brave enough to drink (it's way too early for me to even think about doing this). Thanks for the ingredients! -

realwmnhavcurvs- I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy. Hang in there! I think I'm finally hitting my stride and I was sleeved on the 12th. I'm finally not as sad about food AND I am getting through the work days in one piece. The scale is moving slowly but surely for me. I hope things change for you. -

danyelleb replied to mullet head's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know it's off topic, BUT buttery nipples are intriguing to say the least. What's in the drink? Btw, I HATE the slimed. Had them three times from either chewing too quickly or eating meat that was too dense. They truly are a pain in the A! At least we are figuring out how to avoid them. Best of luck! -
When Can U Can U Hotdog Without Bread Or Chicken Sausage
danyelleb replied to fat2handsome's topic in Food and Nutrition
I tried hot dog and was uncomfortable. I also can't tolerate hamburger patties. As for FF hot dogs, I used to eat them pre-op. unfortunately one got pushed to the back of the fridge and it went unnoticed. By the time I found it- it was a melted pink pile of goo. So gross- now I refuse to bring them into our house. Turkey is a safer bet. -
Hey! I'm 33 (will be 34 on the 25th). I have a 17 year old and a 14 year old. I was blessed with boys. I was pretty open with them. My youngest was a little apprehensive- he would often ask why I even needed the surgery. Sweet kid.

10 Days Out.... Should I Feel This Way?
danyelleb replied to Shellbell73's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had problems bending over too. Or I'd have pain after I bent over. I had a lot of pain on my left side. I think I started feeling better around week 3. I took a month off before I went back to work. I was so tired all of the time and I started having crazy leg cramps in my thighs. Now I'm five weeks out and I feel pretty good.
