    Hiding The Scale

The latter is a better plan. I don't have enough control to only weigh twice a month. Lol. It takes lots of will power from me to weigh only once a week. It also is a good idea to take measurements. This helped get me through a couple stalls. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Any Protein Bars Worth Trying?

Blech! I tried a Quest bar and spit it out. It was a cinnamon roll flavor. I looked at premier Protein and saw the cal count and i decided to pass. Good idea about halving them. I might pick one up next time. I typically can only finish 3/4 of a pure Protein Bar. Hopefully my taste buds will like them better than quest thanks everyone for posting. I appreciate reading all of the reviews! Sent from my iPhone using VST

I have a gold band that I purchased for work and I wear it on my thumb. my hubs keeps getting on to me about having the rings sized. I guess now that I'm out of fingers- I need to break down and do it. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Running

Hi! I started running with a high bmi- weighed 185ish and I'm 5'3. I've tried running in the past when I was preop and had all sorts of issues with my joints. It's amazing what 25 pounds or so does. I started on a treadmill running one minute than walking for four minutes. Eventually I switched over to c25k and moved my workouts outside. My youngest son was sweet enough to be my pacer. He'd run with me every time I went out. Eventually I finished c25k and then I moved on to the 10k app. I'm now running without a training app but I use Nike + gps religiously. I add on a mile a week. I was and I still am concerned about injuries. I stretch and I don't run back to back. I give myself at least a day between my runs. I'm also careful about putting on mileage. So far I've been extremely lucky- just completed my first half marathon on Sunday. Good luck with the running! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Becoming More Active - Pre-Op Or Post-Op?

No, I don't think it suddenly changed me. I've always been a person that went to the gym (off and on) and was fairly active outdoors with the family (hiking, horseback riding etc). I'd often have to stop exercising because of an injury. My joints were not happy with the extra weight. Now that I'm 90 pounds lighter I feel SO much better. I exercise and do things (such as kayaking and hiking) because I can! It's an amazing feeling knowing that I don't have a limit to do anything. My body now works with me instead of against me.
