Dr. Fernando Garcia
I am ok, still counting down.. 93 days (or 3 full months) to go. I was approved for a loan yesterday but after seeing that I will be paying so much in interest, I will just hold off and pay for it when I have the cash. I am glad things are going so well! I only have a full week off then going back to work for 1/2 days for another week.

Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
Also, I believe that you will get through this! You were strong enough to head to Mexicali, get active, and drop the weight. You are strong enough to get back on track and pull yourself over this hurdle! Hugs!

Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
OMG - FINALLY!!!! Hey Nikki, I am pre-op and asked about this type of situation in the forum twice and no one answered. I am guessing its the "elephant in the room" situation. So I have to thank you - with all of my heart for this posting. I am an emotional eater and am getting sleeved in February. I know I can lose the weight but also know my emotions are stronger than my will power (hence me being 314lbs). I was hoping that the surgery would help me get down to my goal weight and my emotions become controllable with help from a therapist. Now the reality of how hard it will be to maintain is out there, I will work from now to seek professional help. Thanks again Nikki!

My First Entry
Well since she said everything I was thinking ( and way more great points), just want to say your pics are really pretty. Your style rocks and I can just imagine how great you would look in a pinup style "after" picture!

Drama. Drama. Who's Got The Drama?
Ok, here is my view and I hope that I do not worry you further but.... Unless I am missing something, there isn't a review board or website that tells us how many deaths these surgeons have on their belts. We can ask them and they can tell us 1 or 100 - and we won't ever know the truth. I personally think Dr. Garcia's 1 is pure bullsh!t. 1 is so easy to say, and its excusable to us since we know that he has completed thousands of surgeries. Also, their total will not include the people who flew home and died or had complications. And will they ever take the responsibility for the death when everything looked good before leaving Mexico? NO We know the risks of the surgery in addition to the added risks associated with Medical Tourism. It is obvious that Dr. Garcia is a reputable surgeon (as well as the other 4-5 popular picks on the board) so I think it comes down to our pre-existing conditions, following the dietary guidelines, and the 1%.

Beliteweight And Dr Rodriguez
Dr. Rod is a great choice! His credentials are outstanding and a lot of his certification and post doctoral education was in the states! Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!! Take one step at a time, and you will be fine.

Sorry I was slacking off on my homework last night.. Yes, I am going to Dr. Garcia on Feb 21st along with SweetTea (I hope I have your tag name right..)- African American Sleevers
Great!! I am sure you will find someone on here having the surgery the same week. Did you choose a surgeon? As time gets closer, there will be more people getting it done around that time surfacing! 100 days is too far for my liking, but I am out of onederland finally... tee hee *giggles*- February 2013 Seems Like A Year Away!
100 days to go! Yippee!! I seriously cannot wait!!!- Back To Work
I am taking a week off and then a week of half days. Hopefully, I will be ok returning back to full days by week 3.- African American Sleevers

I see your surgery is tomorrow!! Congrats and let us know that you are ok!- Seminar And Looooong Wait Times
I had to take the shots after having my c-section. I had a blood clot in my arm and had to take Lovenox for an entire month! I couldn't give it to myself so my mother did it for me. She was instructed by the nurse in the hospital to pinch some of my belly and stick that. It is not bad at all. Depending on your complexion, you may have bruising or a little soreness for a few minutes. Maybe you can have a nurse show your husband?- Flights Purchased... More Real Everyday
38 Days!!! I wonder if the liquid diet is easier for you because it was your choice and not forced ? I am watching the boards as well and most of the complaints are nausea and gas. I've experienced gas that had me in tears so I hope WE will have it easy!- Sleeved In Mexico Thursday 11/15!
There is a forum just for Mexico sleevers.. Everything you need is in that forum. Good luck with everything!- Dancing On Tables, Tequila, Turning 30 And.....jumping Off A 60 Ft Tall Platform!?!
Happy Belated Birthday! While I do like reading everyone's numbers and nsv's, I really appreciate it when people write about their emotions! My emotions run high and I think I will have the "fat brain, skinny body" issue as well. Congrats on living life and getting back on track!- Surgery Today
I know from experience- the pains of little veins When I was pregnant, my doctor told me it meant that i needed to drink more water. I guess he may be onto something since we are starved and dehydrated prior to surgery.- Mexico
I appreciate all of the views people post on here about surgery in Mexico. It allows us to make well- informed decisions and shows us ALL of the sides to Medical Tourism.. There are chop-shops in Mexico. There are surgeons that lie about the amount of complications and deaths ( I am sure that most lost more than one).. It comes down to doing your research and trusting your decision. If something seems fishy(no pun fishy), it deserves more research and attention. Thanks again for the posting. It definitely made me think twice about my decision.- Deposit ( Ready 4 Change )
I will speak to my coordinator about this. If that is the case, I would rather be in the room with my sleeve buddy.- Deposit ( Ready 4 Change )
I am sorry, I didn't see this message.. It was the reviews on this message board, online research, pricing, talking with a few people personally, youtube, and alma. I also was able to email Dr. Garcia concerning a health issue and his experiences both good and bad. He responded very quickly and offered to call. My surgery is scheduled for 2/21/13 - February 2013 Seems Like A Year Away!
