  1. Same here-- I take 2 Flintstone complete chewables a day & 4 Calcium Citrate chews a day (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening).
  2. I count calories & protein and strictly limit my carb intake. I feel like I eat A LOT--I don't mean large quantities, but many times per day. That's the only way I can get my protein in and hit or come close to my calorie requirement.
  3. I am sooooooooo happy today!!!! Weighed in this morning and I am now officially in Two-tersville!!! Never again in my live will I be in the 300+++! I am woman, hear me roar!!!
  4. I had the Italian food craving. In order to curb the angry beast, I had some pizza sauce with shredded mozzarella in a ramekin nuked in the microwave once I got to my soft foods. I put all of it in a ramekin, then ate it with a spoon. It did the trick...
  5. Congrats & good luck! And welcome to the "Losers Bench"!!!
  6. No, I didn't have one, either.
  7. I laughed when I read this..today at work I kept having to duck into the restroom or in alcoves and pull my panties up, they keep falling down. I'll be purchasing some new panties this evening.
  8. Don't know if they have these where you live, but found my ramekins at a Burke's Outlet for $1.00 each.
  9. Sorry to hear your family is not supporting you in this decision, but so glad to hear you have girlfriends to be there for you. This site is also a great place to come for support and information. Keep in mind this is a journey--YOUR journey, and each persons is different, and that a bad day is simply that, ONE bad day and you can overcome it. Work this tool, follow the instructions of your surgeon and your NUT, and as soon as you are able, find an activity you enjoy that will help you to burn calories. Not only is it great for that, but its a great way to clear your head and start taking care of you.
  10. I agree with LIssa, get some MFP friends from VST. My MFP friends are predominantly from this site and I love the support & motivation they provide.
  11. Congratulations! Thanks for the inspiration & motivation today. Judging from your avatar, you are rocking it big time!!
  12. Pre op I enjoyed the Muscle Milk Lights and EAS ready to drink. Post Op, I have enjoyed Unjury. I know netrition.com has a sample pack which is reasonable & allows you to try a variety of different brands. I was lucky & the Unjury my NUT recommended worked fine for me, but I have seen posts were others have not been very lucky with their shakes. Good luck & congratulations!!!
  13. I am 2 months & 5 days out and I feel FABULOUS. I don't know your particular situation, but for me, I was sick & tired of being sick & tired. Deciding to have this surgery & add this tool to my life was the best choice I've made. I am loving life now...
  14. Two months & 5 days since surgery and I am down 65.8 lbs (27 lbs pre-op/38.8 post-op). I'm feeling better than I have since I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN!!! Loving my life and, best of all, I can honestly say I am LIVING MY LIFE!!
  15. Thanks for sharing this! So many of these I can totally identify with and many more I am looking forward to. Congratulations of your success and wishing you continued success and joy!
  16. I am consuming 800 calories a day & I try to exercise at least 5 days a week, but really enjoy doing something 6 or 7 days a week.
  17. I keep the 100 calorie packs of almonds in my desk, a variety of ready to eat tuna packs (some in my desk, some in the fridge), string cheese, and Perky Jerky--beef & turkey varieties. The Perky Jerky does contain Guarana which is an "energy" item, so they make a great midmorning, pre work out snack, or late afternoon pick me up snack.
  18. Congratulations, you look marvelous & from that lovely smile on your face, I bet you feel marvelous, too! Keep up the good work & keep the inspiration coming!
  19. Hahahahahaha! The perfect description--a rabbit has moved into my colon! Love it. Some days I feel like I should have brought War & Peace in there with me to read. Thanks for sharing!
  20. I was really bummed today because it was a dreary, rainy Sunday. I wasn't bummed because of the weather conditions per se, but bummed because I wouldn't be able to spend the day outside in the pool. Pre-sleeve, this would have been the kind of day I prayed for--a great excuse to stay in my PJs and locked down in the house not having to go out & face the world. The "new" me gets the "heebie-jeebie's" if I can't be active. I realized that now, I have to do something each and every day. What a change. For the record, rain stopped early enough for me to get my water workouts in this afternoon.
  21. Congratulations to you! Thank you for sharing your incredible story--it is truly inspiring.
  22. Yes, Stevie, once you start exercising, that heaviness will go away. I have a lot more "pep in my step" these days!
  23. Stool softeners, lots of fluids, and walking help me out.
  24. I am hardly a vet, but I think the best advice is something I've seen on here many times before--this is a journey, not a race. Take your time, follow the instructions given by your NUT and your Surgeon and take it day-by-day, hour-by-hour, and minute-by-minute.
