Starting Weight 377 Sleeved 04/18/12 Weight day of surgery 350 Current weight: 318.6 Down 58.4 lbs

I'm doing great. I haven't had any problems with eggs, but I use eggbeaters, not real eggs. I do find beef "heavy" and stick to chicken & fish mostly. Other than that, I'm feeling fantastic.

I Made It My 1St Wk
Musharooni replied to whitniccole's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats on your 1st week out. To reiterate what kmbrlycool said, head hunger is one of the demons you are going to be facing for sometime. I am approx month and 1/2 out and it is still a battle. Fortunately, your sleeve helps you recognize head hunger whereas, I know for myself, before the sleeve hunger meant "eat" which is why I was in the situation I was in. Good luck to you...remember, this is a journey, not a race and you'll do great! -

Do You Know That Person?
Musharooni replied to CraftyV's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with Jimmy. This whole process is a journey & you are going to learn a lot about yourself as you travel this path. Just tell your hubby that you need his unwavering support right now. -
Think I Got My First Case Of Dumping!

Peanut butter gets me, too. Sweating, shaking, heart pounding, dizziness & nausea. Ate it the firs time when I was 3 weeks out in a shake. Tried it again last week & must admit I'll stick to the PB2. -
Y'all are going to have every man in America getting sleeved!! Lol

Congratulations bratvp63!!! I shed tears reading this as I can identify completely. Although I haven't made it to Twonderland yet, I am working hard to get there and can only imagine what you have put in to get there. I, too, share the regret of not doing something sooner. Enjoy your victory!!!!

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?
Musharooni replied to JimmyGotSLEEVED's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey there fellow April sleevers! Had my 6 week visit with the Dr. this morning and I am down a total of 53.4 pounds including pre-op! So excited & happy. He has also released me and I can now start working with the Trainer in the gym at work!!!!!!!!!! Funny thing how our priorities change. I had made a decision at the beginning of this to reward myself with a handbag I had my eye on for my first 50# lost. Instead, I'm treating myself to a FitBit and some water weights to use in the pool. Also wanted to share my Doctor's parting words with me. He said, "You realize my work here is done? The rest of this is up to you. Continue to make healthy food choices, get cardio in at every opportunity but no less than 5 times a week and things will continue to go well. I'm not going to tell you to not cheat, but I will tell you that if you do slip up, its not the end of the world or the end of this journey. You start all over and make up for the slip up through your diet & exercise. You've been through the tough part and you have proven to not only me but yourself that you can do this. I can't wait to see what you have accomplished when we meet again in 3 months." Thought that was pretty profound. -
Beautiful! Congrats!!!

Chicken Burger Patties 20G Of Protein
Musharooni replied to Anamor2011's topic in Food and Nutrition
I found them in the case in the meat department--near the sausages, etc. They were not in the freezer area with the frozen stuff. Could be that some Sam's carry them and some don't. @ Prissy Mz, I started eating them at 3 weeks out. Like Newfound, my NUT said as long as they were moist, I could eat them. I haven't had to use any type of sauce on them, but I do heat them covered when I am reheating in the microwave which I find keeps them moist. -
Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Chicken Burger Patties 20G Of Protein

Forgot to add that the Hawaiian Teriyaki meatballs are a great snack with a wedge of the Laughing Cow light blue cheese wedge. I like the contrast of flavors and its only 122 calories and 9 g of protein for 2 meatballs and the cheese. -
Congratulations, Jenny!

Chicken Burger Patties 20G Of Protein
Musharooni replied to Anamor2011's topic in Food and Nutrition
I bought the burgers at Sam's as well as some chicken meatballs they had in the same case. I cut the patties in 1/2 and bagged individually which also means that I got 16 meals for $9. Woo hoo. The chicken meatballs were bagged 6 to a baggie because serving size said 3, but I find I can only eat 2 at a time. Both are inexpensive and easy way to get protein in. Being they are fully cooked, can zap them in the microwave at work for a quick & easy meal or snack.
