Not taking pain meds it not that bad but it's very bothersome and my back has been killing me.. Slept with an heat pad on. Still doesn't feel to great..

  2. Hi guys, thanks for the warm welcome.. I'm in Westchester NY ..

I am really excited and nervous and I know this is the best thing for me.. I am so happy to have found these forums because there is so much support !! I wish everyone the best and hope we all can live happy and healthy on our new journeys..

  3. Hi all, I wanted to know if anyone was from NY...?? I'm 28 yrs old an single mother of a very active three year old boy. Work full time as a AR Manager and I can not wait to be banded on 4/5, counting down the days.

I have gain lots of weight over the past 4 years due too lack of mobility. I was diagnosed with bone cancer and had my knee and femur replaced (twice). I tried to push my self so much and i caused myself to break the prothesis.

Anyway I hope with this surgery I will walk better and be more active so I can keep up with my son., Ohh and of course look good for the summer..

  4. My SO honestly does not know. I told he back on oct I was very interested and he was against it. I am 100% ready and can't wait. Me and him not not married, we have been together for 8 years and have a son together. I wish I could have told him now, but I'm being banded on4/5 and don't want any negative vibes.. My entire family knows, some of them don't understand why I'm getting it but they are not being negative about it. I want to stay positive and happy about my new journey to come

  5. I have only told my immediate family, and 2 coworkers that I trust.. So am not ready to have ppl being negative.. After surgery I can deal with, not before,

I just saw a YouTube video with the girl stating she have V8, So I was curious b/c no one else has mentioned it. Never had v8 before guess down the line I might try it. I am not on a diet before surgery, except for the day before all liduid diet.. Mg surgery at 7 am. What about you?? Getting anxious?? Are you worried about Easter, u know family gathering with lots of food..., I know my Easter will be a nightmare, my family has a big get together. And I have so many niece and nephews there will be sooooo much chocolate, ughhhh

  6. Wow!! What a amazing story, just know that you are not alone.. I myself feel like you, I was always fit and very active untill I turned 21 and was diagnosed with bone cancer. I had to have my knee, femur and hip replaced twice. I am not active and just started to aim weight. Because I have a prosthetic in my leg I have many limitations. Now I have a three year old son I can't keep up with. I know getting banded will be great for me. And no matter what ppl say, I chose to only tell my immediate family and no one else needs to know. They just won't understand..when are you having ur procedure??

  7. I'm from southern California' date=' you?

Yes, I'm EXTREMELY nervous. Nervous about the actual surgery itself and not losing weight after surgery. I'm getting really excited though and can't wait to lose the weight. You?

Are you required to do a pre-op diet?[/quote']

I am from New York. I am very excited and so nervous about, after the surgery. I am not on pre-op diet. Just the day before surgery all liquids.. I am worried on how fast I chew food or drink Water. I have been working on that, I'm having a hard time.. Lol I usually just gozzle Water so fast, ughh Anyway I pray every night that surgery will go well :) are you on pre op diet?? Are u prepared with all ur tools and liquids for after surgery.
