  1. I was banded 5/22/2012 and did cottage cheese today. It was ok. Tough stretching that out over 30 min since its already soft. Vienna sausages yesterday and eggs day before that. It's getting pretty exciting having something more than a shake or broth or tomatoe soup!! I haven't really felt hunger at all unless it's a different feeling now??

I did find a Protein shake by Oh Yeah that is 32 grams Protein and only 6 carbs. It is really good and I use it when we are traveling or going to someone's house for dinner.

  2. I will be 2 weeks post op and haven't had any issues really other than just being sore. I did feel dizzy here and there but realized that I was not drinking enough Water. I am slowly starting soft foods this week. You will do fine just follow your doctors advice.

I am also in San Antonio but I had my surgery at BMI. I am on myfitnesspal as pookietx. If you want to join add me. It's a great site to help track everything.

  3. You just need to remember why you are doing it. I am 9 days post op and still not hungry. I have lost 25 lbs since pre op diet just doing what they told me to do. One thing I did on the pre op was added a lot of ice to my chocolate Protein Shake and blended it. It got thick and I would put it in a tall glass and eat with a spoon. I tricked myself into thinking it was a reward that way and I started looking forward to my shakes. I can't do that post op cause I can barely finish half a shake right now but you will make it. Stay strong!!

  4. It is as others posted mind over matter!! I did liquid only Protein Shakes. The first few days were hard because I wanted to chew! On day 3 I started putting 7-8 ice cubes in the blender with my powder and I used almond milk. It was like having dessert. I would eat my shake with a spoon and I started looking forward to them. I was banded on may 22 and the first few days were hard and the liquids after surgery for me were harder because I didn't want to even drink but that got better too. Be sure to move around and walk because that is what helps you the most. I am still sore but each day is better. Good luck to you!!
