  2. What foods are considered sliders?
  3. I had surgery on 4/6 & didn't have one.
  4. I'll be waiting just to be sure. I like to drink it straight up.. Omg, my mouth is watering just thinking about it;)
  5. Congrats on the 20lbs! I can't wait to try the spag. Cottage cheese next week. It takes me forever to eat about 1/2 cup.. And it hurts in my chest too. Im guessing im taking too big of bites or going too fast. Its taking me time to figure out my sleeve. Im not hungry either, but everything I see on tv looks and sounds so good. I hope this next wk goes by fast so I can get me some beans;)
  6. At what stage can you do the spag. Sauce & cottage cheese? That sounds amazing;)
  7. Hey girl, have you started creamy soups yet? I had 1/2 cup of tomato & 1/2 cup potato soup- extra creamy. I am so ready for more soild food. Next friday im trying refried extra mushy beans and I can not wait! I have lost 20.2 since pre-op & 7.4 since last friday. Im pretty happy so far:)
  8. The gas pain was horrible for me too, I just tried to walk as much as I could even if I looked like a crippled old lady in the hall. The 1st 2 days I couldn't stand up very straight b/c of my drain and incision pain. I still walked almost every hr or so. I thought the gas pain would never leave, but its pretty much gone at a week out. I just took each day at a time and tried to keep the big picture in mind. You will get better, just give it a few more days. Good luck!
  9. Oh, and I feel pretty good. 2 of my incisions are still sore, but thats it. Im a stay at home mom to a 3 yr old, so im able to lay around and rest a lot while im still getting my energy back. I get tired when I walk around walmart too long, but its just from the lack of cals im getting. I think once I can start eating more I will be fine.
  10. I did salads and protein shakes for 5 days pre-op then the last 3 days before surgery was just was, juice and a Lil broth and water. Right After surgery once I was able to drink, I sipped water. Ive drank broth maybe 3x since surgery, had a Lil bit of juice, water, some sf popsicles and thats it. I haven't been hungry at all and nothing sounds good. I start my creamy soups today and im gonna start my protein shots. Ive started a few of my supplements, but a few are big pills that I haven't been able to get down yet. I was a big soda drinker before, but quit the day I started my pre-op diet, had a headache for a few days, but fine now.
  11. I had my surgery last friday the 6th. I started my journey at 290, did 8 days of pre-op diet and got down to 277.2 on the day of surgery. Now I'm a week out and down to 269.8. Total of 20.2 since start of pre-op and 7.4 since surgery. Bmi has gone from 37.2 to 34.6. I'm not sure if I would be considered a slow or fast loser, but I'm pretty happy with my results so far. Btw, I am a 26 yr old female, 6'2 & goal weight of 170-175.
  12. Good point. Guess I will be waiting a few months til im more healed. man do I miss it tho;)
  13. Tomorrow I will be one week post-op and im still on clear liquids. Well, I'm a huge pickle&pickle juice fan. So I was wondering if I had a Lil pickle juice if that be bad or would it be ok since its a clear liquid? I don't want to drink any if it would be bad for my sleeve and it would only be a small amount to satisfy my craving. Anyone know about this?
  14. No, I had mine done by dr. garcia in TJ, Mexico. Im actually still here at the hotel and fly home tomorrow. before I had my son almost 6 yrs ago, I was 170, fit and very healthy I gained 50 with him, lost it and got married 4 months after giving birth. Gained 15-20, got preg. W/ my daughter end of 2007 at 190ish, got up to 248 at delivery, lost and gained. Did Hcg diet july of 2010 lost 48 lbs, only to gain it all back plus some and ended up at 290. This big gain came from medications, pcos and poor eating habits. Im so glad that I was able to get this surgery(even tho im still in some pain and recovering) b/c I wont have to spend the rest of my life dieting, gaining & losing and just hating my body. Best of luck to you!
  15. Im a 6'2, 26 yr old female. I just had surgery on friday the 6th. I was 290 before starting the pre-op diet and I was 176 on sat. I havent weighed since then, but I feel very bloated from the gas so im sure im up a few. My goal is 175 and for my height, its on the thinner side. I have a 5 & 3 yr old and would like 1-2 more. I was recently diagnosed w/ pcos and im hoping with some major weight droppage, I will be able to conceive without any help. I don't plan on trying to get pregnant til the beginning of next year. I really want to reach goal before getting knocked up again.
  16. Im in Oklahoma and looking into getting sleeved.. Where did you have yours done and did you use insurance? Im probably going to have to self pay and im thinking about using weightwise in edmond.
