so far i hav enot felt much if any difference with the fill... i have not felt restirction at all, i have basically been restricting myself. i cut it off at a point.... actually maybe 3 times i got hiccups an di will attribute that to eating too fast or too much or drinking too fast. nt dr said that most people won't really feel the restriction until the 2nd or 3rd fill.

MAGNOLIA-- actually i am supposed to be eating my soft foods or blended... but i ahve been eating real food since day 3 post op... i just make sure i can chew chew chew... i felt great until this week... i had lots of extra energy, but this week i feel drained and sometimes nausiated... i got my first fill on tuesday of 1cc i received my fill 4 weeks early because the dr said i was progressing great... fine by me. i think i am just over stressed lately... i work fulltime, coach soccer, attend classes and clinicals in the evenings and spare time... not to mention married an d4 children that have to be taken from one event to another and to school etc..... stress i think just worn out... have you felt any dpression? i have... i know that sometimes anesthesia can cause depression mostly in women... maybe that is all it is... hopefully it will pass soon.. i am really emotional and let things bother me that normally would just roll off my back. especially at work.. several lco-workers realized this too. hope you are doing great~~~

i agree... when will we know? or should we just look for a new thread with that title?

i would like to see a new thread but with all of us march banded people......... too many pages on this thread, it really gets difficult to keep up...

I still do not feel restriction... he put in 1cc... should i feel it now? he had no trouble finding my port. During my first c section my nerve endings were damaged... i have little to no feeling in my lower abdomen... so i felt very little when he gave my fill.. i felt a small sting... then just him pushing, but no hurting pain.

i am swallowing pills but goes down very slowly...afraid to take too big of drink of water with them. so i try not to take them unless absolute necessary!

I saw my surgeon today for my 2 week post op appointment. He said I had healed very well an dsince I have had no complains like pain or gas or anything else, he offreed me my first fill. I received a 1cc fill today. Not originally supposed to receive fill until my 6 week post op appt. Now I will see if that makes a difference. I really do not feel a restriction, maybe I am just cautiously eating and drinking. Maybe I have not reached that point yet!

Saw my surgeon today for my 2 week post op. He said I was doing so well, never had any pain, gas, or any complaints.. healing very well.... I told him yesterday I started to get hungry... ( i have been eating real food since like the third day post op) He said he would give me my first fill today. I received a fill of 1cc.. Not usually done until the 6 week post op. but he siad I was doing well enough to go for it. Now let's see what happens!!

i got my first fill today... i am only 2 weeks post op, but my surgeon told me i was doing exceptionally well.. so he gave me my first fill today when i saw him for post op visit...

persistance-------- thanks for your update... that really helps alot to put my mind at ease that soon, someday I may too be where I need and want to be... Thanks

Well I Was Suprised When I Went In To See The Nutritionist... I Went In The Afternoon After Eating Lunch And So Depressed... The Dr. Scale Said Less Than Mine At Hom Ehad Been Saying... Shocker!!! I Came Home Immediately And Re-weighed.. An Dmine Was Lower Too... The Pounds That Were Sneaking Back On Disappeared.. Now I Can Say That I Am Down 6 Pounds From Last Monday.. Whatever!!! I Am Going Stir Crazy Over This.... I Have Had No Complications, I Now Get Hiccups If I Eat Too Much Or Drink Too Fast.. So I Know For Sure To Stop Right Then... I Have Really Been Doing My Own Restricting, Since I Do Not Feel Restriction.. I Know I Have Done Great... I Have To Stop Beating Myself Up Over This...

I went to my 2 week nutritionist appt today... actually on been 10 days but she wa going to be gone all next week. to my dismay, I had lost more weight. I quit weighing because it had started going back up the last few days. I was getting so totally depressed. I have been eating real food since like day 3 post op... but she told me today to start moving into the real food phase. oh well already there and no problems. Have figured out my limit finally, if I eat too much or drink too fast, I get the hiccups.... better than throwing up or having pain. I hiccup an dI quit.... I see my Dr. on next tuesday.

bmi i think it was right around 40 bmi.... i had insurance that pays 90%... my banding was on march 12th. i am still feeling so good and have an abundance of energy, but after all the walking i am doing and how little i honestly am eating... i am restricting myself.... cannot see why teh weight is sneaking back on... i know the first 6 weeks is for healing, but this is not fair when you work so hard and then the scale goes the other direction. my post op appt with nutritionist is tomorrow... dr not til next week....

Yes.... I Was Banded On March 12th.... Just Last Monday... In February Before Surgery I Was Up To 228... Surgery Day I Weighed 218. I Am Getting Depressed.... By Saturday Morning.. 5 Day Post Op I Had Lost 5.4 Pounds Sunday Gained Back .6 Monday An Additional 1 Pound... Today I Think It Was Another 1 Pound..... What Is GOING On??? I Have Not Eaten Much... I Have Been Much More Active Than Before... Even Walked Over 8 Miles On Sunday And This Really Makes Me Mad. My Port Is Just To The Upper Right Of My Belly Button. Did You Have Any Pains Or Anything? I Have Not. I Feel My Muscle Strain Around The Port Area For Being Overly Active And Going Right Back To Work Etc.... Yes, Lets Keep In Touch And Up To Date... I Would Like That Very Much.. So You Are In St Louis Right??? I Am In Jefferson City... What Is Your Goal ? I Am Shooting For 150 But If I Get More Loss That Would Be Great Too. So Have You Had A Fill Yet? I Think My Surgeon Said After 6 Weeks... I Actually Go For My 1st Pre Op Appt Thursday..with The Nutritionist...

Ok That Is The Same As Laproscopic Then!!1 That Is What I Had.. I Have 5 Small Holes... Healing Good Now.. One Was Larger Than The Others I Guess That Is Where They Went With The Actuall Lapband Piece... Port Is Under That Hole.......... Oh Yes Much Better Than Being Opened Up... Actually I Told My Surgeon That If Something Would Not Work Out Doing It Laproscopically, Then Stop, I Did Not Want To Be Opened Up. Good Thing Everything Went Well.!!!
