  1. I have this problem every time I drink a protein shake - i spent all morning in the bathroom at work (first day back) even the lactose free ahakes do this to me and I am on soft foods too with no lactose at this point I am worried I won't get in enough protein but without doing a shake I don't see how I can get in the 60+ grams of protein
  2. I asked this somewhere else but no one replied. So hoping you all can help me...What can I eat for the soft foods stage that is lactose free? Right now I am mostly eating chicken & tuna salad, protien shakes, popsicles and applesauce. Even the cream soups bother my stomach.
  3. They have sugar free torani syrups at cost plus world market if you have one in your area.
  4. Can i join the weigh in thread? hoping it will hold me accountable I was sleeved 4/13 - weigh in at 257 today. 10#s this past week. Starting soft foods today so hoping I can keep going with the weight loss this next week!
  5. Get to start soft foods stage and need some meal ideas. Cottage cheese, pudding and yogurt are out and I have no idea what to eat. Bought chicken salad yesterday but that's going to get old real fast
  6. 2 weeks out today and down 20 #s since the day of surgery. Still hoping to lose another 112- 122#s. Where is everyone at on their loss so far? Also I get to start soft foods today - does anyone have recommendations that are lactose free? Definitely cannot do the lactose at all. Even some of the shakes that say lactose free hurts my stomach?
  7. I add a bouilliin cube to mine and it tastes good that way.
  8. Unjury chicken soup broth was the best thing I bought. I bought a bunch of stuff I hated after surgery too - like the vitamins from bariatric advantage. Definitely order samples so u know if u like them after surgery - I wasted a lot of money buying full size products
  9. I bought their 3 piece set and used it for the month before surgery - my hair looks no different than it did with my other shampoo even though the package said it would LOL. So I am going back to my cheaper shampoo and will just keep my protien intake up and take Biotin and hope for the best!!! Hope it works for the rest of u!!!
  10. And u can buy it over the counter in the antacid section. I buy it at wal mart. *before surgery even Water gave me heartburn lol
  11. The only thing that works for me is brand ranitidine - I was on 300 my a day before surgery - had really bad heart burn constantly. And I have had two days since where I had to take it since surgery but only 150 mg. Noticed if I eat anything higher in sugar content I get heartburn Hope u find something that works for you!
  12. I saw it on TLC. I just hope I don't have that much loose skin but with my luck I will since I want to lose from 90-125 more pounds. From what I remember TLC will be casting for the show but I am not sure I'd want to have my surgery and recovery televised --- unless proceedure(s) are free. LOL
  13. Lol I forgot about the itching - using neosporin cream to make sure it keeps the itching away so I don't scratch!
  14. I am a week out and finally at the point I can drink without this happening! Still not up to 64 oz of water plus my shakes but definitely making improvements each day!
  15. I still have pain too! When I sit up is when it is the worst! So for now I just prop myself up to where it doesn't hurt or walk around. My biggest thing is I am exhausted - all the time!!!
