I was 356lbs before surgery and I always exercised. I say listen to your body, everyone is different in their fitness level. I found walking, swimming classes, zumba and some weight training to be the things I could do. But again, listen to your body. There is good exercise pain and bad. Avoid the bad

I'm sorry to have to say this....but why is it so important to have soda pop? It doesn't kill you to never drink it. There are plenty of other options that are way better for your health than pop.

Ok before I attempt to paste a link (I can't find it in my pin's but I knew where I got it....mine is all hand scribbled from the class LOL). This recipe is truly the best Caesar salad in the world IMO. But....when Van makes it (he's a friend of ours) he does NOT use 1 tbsp of parmesan cheese....for this recipe he uses between a 1/4 and half a cup. So when you make it be sure to use more. The salad should be nice and cheesy (is that possible LOL).
I make my own croutons but you can use good store bought. Use the best quality balsamic and olive oil you can afford. The better the quality the better the salad.
Thank you so much. I'm definitely going to try this
And so sorry about your complications, that explains they longer wait on some foods. I hope things are much better for you now.

I can't have them for six months so I don't know how they will sit, but I don't seem to have issues with anything yet except super high sugar, which is fine with me. But I am also a salad girl. I have eaten cesear salad all over the world (France is best) and I so miss it!!!!! Everyone knows it's a favorite of mine so at a recent dinner a friend stole my recipe and made it as a surprise, thinking that since I'm on a diet it would be great....argh I dreamed about that dang salad for a week! LOL
You should do fine with salad, I was ok to have raw veggies 6 weeks out. But on another note....would you mind sharing your cesear Salad Dressing recipe?

Clear burning alcohol like vodka and tequila are the best for our new tummies. Other alcohol has too much sugar in it. Although I still will try wine. But it's a good thing I like vodka and tequila just no pop for mixes

It would do the same thing as pop and I was told no alcohol for 3 months.

I was able to start having a small(maybe 1 cup) of salad after 6 weeks. It's a very little amount with iceberg lettuce, shredded carrot, cucumber, red pepper and Tomato. Oh and some Salad Dressing for some slip to the veggies

I have the same problem. I'm 2 months post op and 46lbs down. A friend told me it's cause I don't have the core body strength anymore. Guess its time to hit the gym and start working out these muscles.

Constipation is SO normal. A high Protein diet is the cause of this. I had a couple major problems and finally said enough! I figure eating a balanced diet was healthier on my bowels than laxatives, stool softeners and not to mention the discomfort of the constipation. So I made mini bran muffins at home from scratch. They are full of fiber, I have 1 a day and now I go no problem every day. I can always give the recipe if anyone is interested. I'm also eating a little fruit and veggies as well now and I'm 2 months out

Watermelon has a high glysemic index so it spikes your insulin. Not one of the better fruits to try because of the sugar context

I've heard bumping you calorie intake up a bit, change up the exercise and increasing your Fluid can kick start a stall. Good luck to reaching that next goal.

As far as I know they answer is no. But I do know someone 5 years out from being sleeved and she drinks diet sodas. But I would be careful.
-
I do 3 meals of food and my shakes as Snacks. That way I feel like I'm eating more normal.
FYI I had problems with turkey and chicken even if they were moist. I'm 7 weeks out and reheated chicken is just too dry. Ground meats will probably feel the best on ur new little tummy. I bought a package of chicken meatballs from costco, put them in a large ziplock bag in the freezer. I can only get 2 down and I'm stuffed. But they are great to have on hand in a pinch

I did the same thing! And 44lbs down I can still wear the same 'fat' clothes. They will do now for another few pounds and then it will be time for a few new items.
Way to go on learning to sew!

Unfortunately today I was unable to put food in my stomach only 1 Protein Drink. Now I'm concerned cause it's getting bad.
Have you looked into why you can't get food in? Sorry if this is too personal, but are you having regular bowel movements? I know when I got really constipated I couldn't eat much. Sorry if that's TMI

I've been stalled now for 2 weeks! I'm almost 6 weeks post op so I understand the frustration. Apparently it's quite normal and could last up to 6 weeks. EEEKkkk! Hang in there I know I'm trying. I'm sure now that I can start exercising it will jump start the weight loss again.

B- 1 egg, 1/4 cup of milk 9grams
S- shake 20-30 grams
L- 1/2 cup homemade chili 10grams(roughly)
S- shake 20-30grams
D- 2 turkey or chicken meatballs with gravy and 1 broccoli floret 6grams
Just an idea. I was suggested to eat 3 meals of real food and then have 2 Protein shakes as my Snacks between meals

Tbrendon, I just can't get enough in my system. Im under 400 cal today. eggs I'm tired of them. Don't know what else to eat
Try smaller portions like 1/4 cup for a week, then increase to 1/3 cup and see how that goes. Also for Breakfast I make cream of wheat but make it with milk instead of Water for added Protein. And instead of putting brown sugar on it like I used to I drizzle a little agave Syrup. Crustless quiches are good as well, meatballs in some kind of sauce or gravy. I have some recipes so personal message me if you want some ideas. I would try 3 meals a day and just start with 1/4 cup servings.

I'm at the same mark as you and I eat 3 meals and have 2 Protein Shakes as my Snacks a day. when you can get some more real food in you will have the strength to exercise. My usual day is:
B- 1egg, 1/4 cup milk(scrambled) with a tsp cream cheese to soften it more
L- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, 1tsp no sugar added strawberry jam(for flavor)
D- 1/2 cup chili or spaghetti sauce or 2 meatballs with gravy
Now that I'm getting this in with my Water I feel so much better
Good luck and congratulations on your 30lbs weight loss!!!!
