  1. I was sleeved last wed I focused on hydration the first few days cause it took me a whole day to get 3/4 of a shake down the first day I was home it's better to stay hydrated the first few days than worry about Protein once the swelling goes down it will be easier this morning I was able to get my Protein Shake down in a lil over an hour . I've also been placing ice packs on my belly to help with inflammation and swelling not sure if that's helped but since I've been doing it I've been able to get more fluids down !!!

  2. Thank you so much everyone I love this forum I know it will get better Just worried cause I know how important Protein is in wound healing and in in nutrition period but as I was trying to get my Protein Shake after four hours I was thinking man I really need to get some fluids in. I did manage to get the majority of my protein shake in so at this point if I can get one protein shake a day and maintain fluids I'll be okay for a few days without my 80g protein thanks do much guys ;-)

  3. Had my surgery this morning @ about 9 when I woke up in the recovery room I was in horrible pain was given some pain meds and it alleviated my pain once I got to the floor I've been on a PCA pump and my pain is tolerable now trying not to use it alot so I can walk and get this gas out so I'll walk come back get some pain meds sleep then do it all over again . I've had a little nausea but only when I finish my walks other than that so far so good ;-)

Krissy' date=' are you on Optifast Meal Replacement program? That's what I'm starting on mon. Is it hard to stick to it? Or does it keep you full?[/quote']

Hola!!! I know I'm a little late responding but I've been drinking the Bariatric Advantage banana and orange cream flavored Protein powder also I bought the premier shakes chocolate flavored from costco for those times I'm on the go . I drink one for Breakfast and lunch then I eat 4oz of Protein and a veggie serving for dinner . It's actually been fairly easy I'm not gonna lie the first two days I was a little hungry but I stayed busy and thereafter it's been fine . Yes they do actually keep me pretty full throughout the day as of today I've already lost 12 lbs :-) and I feel great !!!

  8. I'm April 11 also and getting really nervous excited and a lil of everything is running through my mind at this point . The preop diet is actually not as bad as I thought I've lost 7 pounds so far yeah which is motivating me to keep on going till surgery !!!! Just hoping all goes well in surgery and no complications look forward to hearing updates from you :-)
