  1. Thank you so much PDX I really appreciate your help and you're absolutely right. I feel better now, I'll take your advise
  2. I there I'm a little concerned about my weight lost I was sleeved on 4/9/12 I was 246 and now 214 so 29 down It's been 3 months and my huge problem is my snacking because many foods just won't go down. I know it's crazy but veggies and eggs are not my friends anymore they hurt. But if I eat ice cream or crunchy foods they slide down amazingly. What a problem I know I shouldn't. I'm getting frustrated here and I thought when I got this done food wasn't going to be an issue or I wouldn't at least have to be thinking about food during the whole day like many of you say. Can anyone guide me please
  3. Just wanted to thanks every single one of you in here for all the support you've given me and other people. I never thought a simple app or website could be so helpful. It means the world to me when you guys help out because sometimes we fall a little behind and once we come back here we get enthusiastic again, so thank you for taking the time on giving encouraging words and great tips
  4. I Guys I'm so happy with everything except that I'm having a big issue with my hair. It is falling progressively and I see holes on my scalp. I'm getting my protein vitamins and water in. Why is this happening does it ever stop? What to do? PS. I meant to say HAIR sorry
  5. Hey guys, I haven't been doing too good since my snacking is killing me but that's because I'm not planning my meals I was sleeved 4/9 and only 20 lbs down. Could anyone share any ideas for a high protein breakfast that won't include eggs or Greek yogurt as I can't see them anymore. Thanks!!!
  6. I know that pain is really uncomfortable but it goes away with walking the more you walk the easy it gets. Trust me some days I just kept calling the doctor. I couldn't deal with protein shakes so I bought GNC lean protein shake it is tasty and little by little goes down easily for sure
  7. I had the same thing it would hurt sooooo much at that same spot. But I can tell you it should be gas, so I started to walk longer distances and it helped a lot if you can take gas x could help you a lil but yeah it's very common. Good luck it will go away for sure
  8. I went to a dinner for a "quick" breakfast and I had some bacon and eggs. Literally 3 bites later I starting to feel so bad. Sweating cold and shaking. Was it because of bacon or why with such a little amount would I feel like that? Any ideas? It's been 5 weeks since I got sleeved I had those things before and nothing. Leak? Irritation I'm concerned
  9. I think is way too early for that full feeling it takes a while. While on liquids it's normal to feel hungry a lot. It gets better as right now you're starting to get to know your body it's great but takes patience.
  10. When did they close. Sometimes when they are itchy it's because they are healing trust me mine were crazy couldn't even sleep so I bought cortisol gel it was veryyyy refreshing just put it around and my doc told me to use neosporin on the insicion
  11. Really? I'm actually not but my doctor didn't say anything does it ever stop I mean would I be like the other people who don't want to eat at some point. By the way Lisa thanks for your helpfull posts they're really appreciated
  12. Hey guys any advices for me? I'm a month out 17lbs down but I have been soooo hungry that it's scary. Especially when I see snacks like bread I nibble. Does the hunger ever go away? I hear of people forcing themselves to eat and here I am hungry most of the times
  13. I know right now you're feeling a lil down. Right after surgery most of us are for different situations. I posted right after my surgery how down I was phisically and emotionally and a lotttt of people told me that it gets better and now 3 weeks out I feel like new. Remember your body and soon your mind are going through a huge change they are battling inside, your body will heal if you look back been obese wasn't easy right. But now you know that as hard as it is it will get better. Besides when your husband comes back a new you (happier and sexier) will be ready to see him and continue a path that will be better for the both of you.
  14. I haven't tried any I guess that will help cuz even after my Vitamins (Terrible CELEBRATE) I feel the acid
  15. Thanks guys you're the best. I freaked out
  16. I'm three weeks post of and I've been eating pretty most of the stuff some days better than others. Today I went to Panera Bread and had the 8oz tortilla soup. I finished it all I was surprised because I was full but not terribly full. I'm scared because I feel like I ate too much and didn't feel that full. Not only that 1 hour later and I'm hungry so I've been picking and snacking I knowww how bad that is but I'm worried about my hunger. Any thoughts???
  17. As someone said the three weeks stall happens to almost everybody I'm 3 weeks out as well and I've been reading how important it is to try to increase your calorie intake and keep on taking your protein shakes and water those are the keys to success. Harder for some than others. In my case I'm feeling great but I avoid the scale because I know we're all curious but I'm trying my hardest to do it once a month 2 the most because it happens to all of us at some point. Down worry it will get better
  18. Thanks guys I'm itching to start ill better wait
  19. Honestly I know in Mexico they have amazing doctors with much more experience there's a forum. You'll pay around $6000 total and you can do maintaince here because I saw my bill like 3 times I couldn't believe it. Hospital $17 K for 4 days, anesthesia $1100 plus doctor $11000 Scary yes. Good luck!!!
  20. Hey guys I'm on my week 3 and I'm feeling pretty good. Thank God but I do have a question. The incision by my belly had a bad experience it started to leak non stop days after and it hasn't stopped. I went to the doctor and ouchhhhh!! He took a scalpel slided it open and took the stitches away (no anesthesia) so I've been taking care of it by cleaning "the hole". I'm ready to go back to the gym but I'm wondering how long did it take for your stitches to heal and go back to the gym. Thanks in advanced
  21. I also decided to only tell my best friend and husband because after I started to talk about it many people were against it so I only wanted supporting people surrounding me. About your little one I watch a 3 year old but I had to take off 2 weeks to recover. It is very important that you won't pick them up for at least for 3 weeks I would say since your incisions will need to heal, the first 2 weeks were the hardest ones in my case but at my 3rd I feel amazing and trust me it's worth it. Good luck. Oh and probably you can drive the 2 week or as long as you don't take pain meds it's up to you. Trust me you'll get to know your body pretty well
