How Much Should I Be Lossing A Month

As time goes on you will be able to eat more. The key is to make healthy choices. You know where candy and sodas will lead you to, the choice is yours. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Coffee Love Affair

Try the Chike Protein iced coffee. It has 20g of protein as well as caffeine and hits the spot for me. It does not have that "protein" taste or smell and goes down pretty easy. Sent from my iPad using VST

    C-Section Vs Sleeve Pain

I've had both (csection) and sleeve. The pain from neither was that bad. I was off all sleeve pain meds the next day. Csection, maybe 2 days.

    Gs Weight Loss And Tattoos....

Just an FYI. Don't get your tattoo too close to your surgery date. Your body needs to heal (from the tattoo and the surgery) and you need all of your body's resources concentrated on healing the surgery.

    Birth Control?... Possibly Tmi

I got the mirena when I was in the process of getting sleeved. My insurance didn't cover it either, but my prescription plan covered the device. I just had to pay for the office visit to have it inserted.

Digital Food Scale.. Is It Worth It?

I use mine everyday, several times a day. I got it from Bed Bath &Beyond, but you can find them anywhere. Sent from my iPad using VST

  12. I had a really easy, uncomplicated recovery. I left the hospital the day after my VSG/hernia repair. My surgery was 9 am and I was off all pain meds by 11 am the next morning. I really attribute my successful recovery to my activity level prior to surgery. I was in the gym every day for a minimum of an hour. I will say, though, even though my physical recovery was great, I did hit some emotional bumps along the way that I wasn't so prepared for. I'm now 5.5 weeks out and the emotional bumps seem to have leveled out. Good luck to you in your journey to a better you. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Weird Question...

Same here. I find myself having to freshen up mid-day. Never had to do that pre-sleeve. On a brighter note, I haven't had the sweat rashes in my fat rolls since surgery. Sent from my iPad using VST

    A Few Questions.

I'm 5 weeks out and it still takes me an hour or more to finish a Protein Shake. I wouldn't worry so much about the bowel movement, yet. You are not taking much in, so you probably don't have much to put out. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Urging All To Tell Co-Workers

So glad that you are okay. Another option for those that wish to keep the surgery to themselves is to get a medical I'd bracelet. I know there's some controversy over whether or not sleevers need them, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Pre Surgery

The first few days of the pre-op diet are HELL! It will get better/easier. I am 5 weeks post op and had many thoughts that I could have done this on my own. Truth is, if I could have, I would have. But I could never have maintained the weight loss without returning to old habits if it wasn't for my sleeve. You will go through many ups and downs during your journey. Hang in there. Every day gets better/easier than the last. We are here to support you so lean on us when you need to. Will It Always Hurt? Help!

Glad to hear your feeling better. I didn't have a drain, so no help there. I will tell you that every time I advance to a new phase of food my stomach makes all of these weird gurgling noises. It doesn't hurt, but is very loud. It cracks me up every.single.time. It only lasts for a day or so. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Advice Please!

I felt this way around the same time (I'm 5 weeks out now). Went through a period where I was just turned off by food. It has gotten better within the last couple of days. I think my issue was more emotional than physical. Sent from my iPad using VST

Three Days Post Op... Any Suggestions?

I was told to walk from day one. All othe exercises had to wait until I was a month out. I don't know that there's anything you can do when you are newly sleeved to excellerate weight loss. All you can do is focus on getting in Water (first) and Protein. Good luck on your journey. This is an excellent site for support and information. Sent from my iPad using VST
