are you getting enough protein? Protein tends to keep me fuller longer...But I still get hungry too. almost 6 months out and I still can't eat a lot so I eat, and then a couple hours later I'm ready to eat again.

I kept mine a secret until i got to my destination (myrtle beach south carolina---from NJ) Then I posted a picture of me before my Endoscopy and told everyone that my "vacation" is a "surgication" and I was going to become the skinny b***h i've always wanted to be. So, everyone knew instead of everyone bombarding me as I post pictures and saying How are you losing the weight?" I wasn't sure until that moment that I wanted to tell everyone. But, I'm so glad I did.

i used the RTD for my pre op...the no sugar added one .....now after my surgery my stomach doesnt like it. i feel horriblysick afterwards. but i did enjoy them on pre op.....well except for hating them but they weren't bad.

i went and got the shakes today. Grape-42 g protein. They were really sweet so i mixed it with a little grape gatorade.....i drank some...dont really like it. its got a weird taste...i just went to drink more and almost threw up. I dont know what im going to do. i guess ill wait for my isopure to come in. I can't wait til mushys next week!

i saw the appletini and peach bellini ones at cvs or walgreens, i think it was walgreens!!! I'm not liking the milk protein right now and the Isopure is nasty, it makes my mouth dry. I'm thinking of the shots. I can't remember what my nutritionist said about the shots...but either way its got to be better than no protein at all until i start mushies next week!

nice! which flavor do you get? I'll go tomorrow and get them....you just drink them straight up right? I got mio yesterday for the first time, i like it. Thanks

Thanks guys i just didn't know if i was sabotaging myself but not having the goal protein. I gained the first time i weighed in after surgery but steadily went down since so, i wasnt sure if it was b/c of the protein. I'm going to do weds weigh in's too but its so hard to not step on the scale every morning lol I was so close to the 240's i could taste it ...it feels like such a teeze

oh and ps, i ordered unjury. should be here within 2 days...

first off.....yes i know i shouldn't weigh myself everyday....(but seeing the scale go down makes my day!) second...yes i know i should be getting x amt of Protein everyday with that being said...my current Protein shakes are making me sick. Definitely not getting anywhere near the recommended goal....eating a couple teaspoons of Soup....little bit of Jello...maybe a popsicle and have been doing very well with the Water intake the past couple days... well i was 251.2 or so wednesday morn. I was hoping for 240's thursday morning so i hopped on the scale , 250.2, i figured this morning 249.....NOPE 250.6 WHY ON EARTH DID I GAIN!? Even though im not getting my protein in, im barely eating...how did i gain? SO i just peaked before bed and im 252. I'm just not getting it. I'm drinking as much as i can. Is it the protein thats changing everything up? --i do have my TOM (but it came on b/c of the surgery) -I have been walking and doing house work...light house work SO whats up?!?!?!?!?!

im only 8 days out so i dont know if im much help but first of all did u call ur dr? are u chewing chewing chewing? are u following the "no drink 30 mins before-30 mins after rule"? are u maybe drinking or eating too fast??? The last couple days i had to remind myself im sleeved. Took a couple big cold fast sips of soy milk yesterday and got nauseous.

The weeks will turn into days really soon and then u'll be saying wow im already 2 months post op!!! lol good luck

i have nutrient enhanced propel zero do u think thats ok?

hey all. i've been on Clear liquids since post op day 1. Drinking most of my Protein and getting in as much Water as i can...(propel actually)....i've been walking enough...i have some Jello or popsicle from time to time... my legs feel like im going to get a charlie horse when im walking. and when i rub one leg with my foot...they feel bruised....why? dehydration???

i lost 13.4 ...cheated in between. Did great the first week, horrible the second, and great the 3rd ( i was on meal replacement week one and protein shakes only 2 & 3 )

Morning all ...last night was rough. I was laying flat in the bed and my incision on the right side was hurting. I guess it doesnt like laying flat, i was too far over and I had a lot of trouble getting up. Took 3 trys of my bf helping me. I finally got to the bathroom and the nausea hit me. Thank god my mom filled my script for the "ondansetron". My bf ran the pills into me. I popped one in my mouth, got up..rushed to bed, he got me the trashcan and a cool rag for my head and i went back to sleep. Woke up around 4 or 5 and took another one, still felt crappy....and finally got up at 815....took another one for precaution sake. Not sure what happened. I haven't really been nauseous. Still having the gas pains in the tummy but they are getting better. My legs feel crampy. I wonder if im dehydrated. I feel like im fitting in as much isopure and water as I can. My sleeve is only so big! I have yet to finish a whole bottle of it, but im getting cl oser. I have my post Op visit tomorrow afternoon...and i think weds or thurs I can add in milk based things (creamed soup, soy milk, protein shakes) That will be good. Decided last night to go to the food store website and add stuff to the cart, turns out they will do the shopping for you for 10 dollars and you just pick it up!! That will save me a lot of stress walking around in the store seeing all the yummy foods that i can't have any more. So, I saved my list Okay so the good part...Today I weighed in at 253.8. My first goal was taking off 25 lbs from my highest. Today.... I am 26.6 lbs down from my highest (280.4 on july 11th). I am down 10.2 since surgery day (wednesday) Yesterday I said goodbye 280s, 270s, 260s...hopefully tomorrow I'll be saying goodbye 250's Have a great day everyone!!

hey all. I'M SLEEEVEEEEDDD! I was sleeved on 8.8- i came out of surgery screaming and moaning "omg it hurts so bad, my chest, i feel like im having a heart attack" they assured me i wasn't and it eventually got better. I was walking less than an hour after they put me in my room, b/c i couldn't stand the shoulder pain. everyone was great, the endoscopy was fine (a little sore throat after) didn't see dr washington thurs but emily discharged me. I didn't like the feeling of the drain coming out...everything else was fine. I would recommend coastal bariatrics to everyone. Today, 4 days out...i'm still having a little trouble bending..i kinda need help putting my pants on. but im kinda milking it too I still have some intense gas pains here and there but they are getting better. Getting out of bed is hard, i need help...but im in the hotel bed and i have nothing to hold on to. Trying to get down a whole bottle of isopure a day is torture. I got liquid multivitamin today.....tastes like ass. As of this morning I was 257.4 I'm down 23 lbs from my highest of 280.4 (july 11) and 6.6 from surgery on wednesday (aug 8) I can proudly say BYE 280S, BYE 270S, BYE 260S!!! i'll NEVER EVER see you again!!!

I bought "sea bands" from cvs, they were with the motion sickness meds...its a bracelet that has a thing that hits ur pressure point and is good for nausea. helped me alot. i didnt have much nausea thanks ur awesome Hope everything gets fixed soon

Good morning! I'm back at the condo...I'm doing good and im so glad i was discharged yesterday. I'm still in a lot of pain and still have a lot of the gas pains from them pumping my body up during surgery. It feels like someones stabbing me in the back. BUT its all over! I have 6 incisions, one was from the drain. I'm trying to get down a whole huge bottle of protein juice today That sucks...but owell...On the road to wellness! I just wish the pains would stop hitting me like a ton of bricks and i wish i could get out of bed myself..My mom was the best nurse ever . I'm so glad i had her by myside taking care of me. Unfortunatly shes going home tonight, but ken is flying in as we speak so thats a plus! I hope i can walk further in a day or two so he gets to see some of myrtle beach too. Thanks everyone for all the prayers and well wishes!! ♥ Sorry everyone i haven't kept up with the list. This is my first time on the computer. Hopefully i can catch up with all your posts in a couple days when im feeling better.
