  1. My surgery is Wednesday. I've been keeping busy by doing some exercise at home, weights and squats. Nothing to over the top since I'm on the pre-op diet of very little calories. But I started feeling like I was losing muscle tone, so I started doing 10 pound bicep curls and such. I've also been shopping. I figured the walking would do some good. I bought little bowls for my food, rather than using huge bowls or plates. I also bought some sugar free syrups for my protein shakes and cream of wheat. Maybe you should get out of the house and do something. The walking will do you some good.
  2. I'm supposed to be getting that but I didn't know the name of it. Good to know how much it's going to help. I was told to be very careful. If you drop the ball and pull out the tube, you're done. They can't put it back in.
  3. Writergirl, that's how I feel. That's what has kept me from even taking a bite of the food my family has been eating. What if I don't lose just enough weight and have complications during surgery, all because I couldn't resist a slice of bacon? I feel like if I'm going to go through the effort, the expense, the pain, the fatigue, why oh why should I ruin all that over a cookie? Or a bite of macaroni & cheese? Not gonna happen! I have not strayed at all from the Optifast plan. Down 16 pounds in less than 2 weeks and my stomach feels looser already. Two more days!!!
  4. Drove by Chipotle...wanted to stop...didn't. How is it possible to feel in control yet out of control at the same time? And thanks for all the well-wishes. They are very much appreciated
  5. Oh and Pookey, I watched that video before I made my decision to have the surgery. It didn't look that bad to me, which helped me decide to do this.
  6. I just got my liquid diet kit to start on Wednesday. It seems like such a small amount of food for two weeks. But I knew this was coming, so I cut out diet cokes, sugar, and caffeine about 2 weeks ago and I've been eating smaller meals. I'm hoping that if I go through the food and caffeine withdrawals now that's one less thing to worry about after surgery.

    Holy Crap!

Thank you for posting this. My surgery is on March 7th and I admit I'm scared. I've even wondered if it's not too late to back out. I'm worried about fatigue and upchucking and Vitamin deficiencies and everything else. It's good to see you feeling so well so soon. It gives me faith. Thank you
