  1. Dr. Pepper on her desk... Hahaha, classic!!! For the last 2 weeks, I've been at a weight loss stand still! I think I will lower my calorie intake to 700-800, continue low carbs, and up my cardio. Banded on 4/13, I've lost 24 lbs. Next Tues I should be getting my first fill. Since being banded, I believe the amount of food I eat has not changed, but the lbs haves dropped because of the low carb and exercising. I hope that my fill will allow me to see the scale drop!!!! Another thing is I must drink more water... But I've never been a big fan of Water and drinking about 25 onces... I already fill water logged!!! I believe it is recommended to drink 64 oz!!! Lol DROWN ME!!!

  2. I just joined My fitness pal yesterday. I am really hoping I can remember to keep up with the food diary on that site.. However' date=' I wasn't told to count calories only Protein but wanting to make sure my dietician can't be rude again.[/quote']

Was your dietician rude to you? Why? What number were you told to stay within for Protein? I too joined Myfitnesspal... It's telling me 1300 calories per day, but I think it seems high.

  3. I am 3 wks post op... I am, thankfully down, 18 lbs. Every morning walk on the treadmill for 20 min... Brisk walk! My menu is pretty much the same, - LOW CARB!!! No bread, tortilla, sugar etc. Breakfast: Protein Powder chocolate shake 30 grams per scoop, 1/2 banana, 1 tsp creamy Peanut Butter - blended with ice!!!

Lunch: Cottage cheese with diced fresh tomatoes or grilled chicken breast

Dinner: grilled chicken breast, purrred pinto Beans or shrimp diced with salsa and fresh lemon juice.

    Water or Crystal light only!!!

Please share your progress and recipes... Thank you and best of luck!!

  4. I know there's a special section for this' date=' but it doesn't seem to be too popular so I'll give it a whirl here..

  5. I was banded on 2/13/12 - thus far I've lost 17-20 lbs. as the scales very from day to day. I tell myself not to way myself daily' date=' but can't seem to help myself. Right now I am on a soft diet. Example: breakfast- Protein shake w/banana and tsp of creamy Peanut Butter, poured over ice. Lunch: cortage cheese and diced tomatos. Dinner: puréed pinto Beans and finely shredded chicken breast. Sometimes I add a little of salsa. One night I had a few shrimp... Yummy! I find that if I swallow too fast, I begin to hiccup like crazy. One the food goes down on it's own, the hiccups go away!! Learning new things about my body all the time!!![/quote']

Haha... That is "weigh" ... Not "way" - darn auto spell!!!!

  6. Banded 02/14/12 looking for someone close to same. Would like to share experiences. My band was done in Gainsville' date=' Fl. Do you have gas pain and grumbling stomach? How much are you eating?[/quote']

  7. Honey' date=' the gas is my only problem. It was everywhere, now it is constant in my shoulder. GasX extra strength has been my best friend![/quote']

I too suffered from terrible pain in my left shoulder! My doctor gave me an ice pack for my stomach and most of the time I used it for my shoulder! It did help.
