    Anyone getting grumpy?

    cranky to exhausted is right LOL but I find its better now, now I can chew mushy food I feel abit normal and of course seeing results makes it much easier thanks guys!

    Good work MrNickSr, I think some surgeons give you a underestimated goal weight just because they cant guarantee weights we want ourselves if that makes sense? but congratulations good work :001_unsure:

    Hi girldep I just posted a couple of days ago a similar post I have been like this the last couple of days, I did notice I have started to get more tolerant yesterday and Im feeling better today, I found to much stimuli irritating while my body is adjusting to its new state and new cal intake, hopefully you start feeling better in in few days too. :sleep0:

    Ibuprophen

    I was allowed to take Ibuprofen post op, only was in suppository, to avoid breakdown/metabolising in the stomach, I dont know about long term tho.

    103.6 here, seems like impossible goal, but if someone had of told me 22lbs in 10 days a couple of weeks I would of laughed at them, so why not :thumbup1: go for the gold

    Hi good luck with the surgery, I know how your feeling, I quit smoking a month before too, but you know what it will be the best thing you do in helping in the recovery process, also make sure post op you really do ur breathing exercises, as a newly ex smoker your lungs are still recovering too, myself i spiked a temp on day 2 and chest xray showed atelectasis, because i wasnt doing the breathing properly, it resolved itself in 24 hrs no problem, but did push my discharge day back one day, and when your feeling so well afterwards, cabin fever can kick in LOL Good luck, welcome, you have done a good job already keep us updated!

    Hi all, Im AJ, 29 Australia, Im getting my sleeving done 1 week from today, have to say Im getting nervous, Im excited and positive I have made the right decision, just more of the unknown. Reading all your stories has been great, hope to see you all on the flip side :001_tongue:
  10. I put on 5kgs in a month before my surgery, I was thinking Oh I need to have this, I'll never be able to eat that etc I think its a fairly natural :001_wub:

    :001_tongue: thanks Lan2k for welcoming me to the bench been walking, on 30ml of water per hr, be nice to increase that slightly seems to absorb in my mouth :eek:, drain tube to be removed today and hopefully IV discharge Friday all going well

    Hi All

    Hey all it has been about 16hrs since I returned to HDU things going really well, no pain thank god since the morphine makes me very very nausous to the paoint I had extreme dry reaching in PAC unit, but honestly I do wonder why so worried, discomfort shoulder tip pain is all I really have, and that is minamal, I can't walk yet as I have arterial line in, but have been out of bed etc. Thank you guys for your support has been so appreciated and can't wait to share my journey with you all! Xoxo

    Very nervous

    Im roughly 4hrs from being sleeved, but I can tell you I joined and was extremely nervous around a week ago, during the week thanks to this forum, meeting with anaesthetist and admission nurses at the hospital I have come very calm, Im anxious to just have it done, talk to as many people as you can and read the forum :thumbup: good luck look forward to your progress

    Lee - LOL gunna be so weird taking 4hrs to drink 8oz, since I down a 16oz coffee in like 15 mins!     Hi All

    Thanks Mary Spoke to surgeons PA the other day and mentioned my nerves, she said I made the right decision, a pt came in who had had a lapband, had nothing but trouble with it, removed and replaced with sleeve, and now she is going really well, so Im excited Good Luck Smelly Melly Will let you know how I go! Actually one question I have for you regulars, Im abit nervous about my first sip of Fluid post op, is there any discomfort/pain with it?
