    Surgery Today...please Pray For Me!

So glad you are doing better now. I'm sorry to hear you are having a lot of pain. I had to stay an extra day at hospital due to nausea and blood pressure issues. But everyday seems to be improving now. The pain is manageable for most part but my blood pressure rises quickly at any little amount to a dangerous level, so I feel like I'm doing a balancing act evey hour between the two. Hang in there and know we are all thinking about you and your speedy recovery. Each day will get better and this part will all be behind you. Keep us updated and keep your chin up. I believe the best is yet to come.
  2. I am having severe nausea still. They can barely keep in under control. I started mt protien today but it made me so sick. Anyone else had this exprience and what did you do to help you. I'm still in the hospital

2 Days Post Op And Nausea

Just wanted to let everyone know, that every hour things are starting to feel better for me. It is still worth it all knowing that my new journey is beginning this week. I expected to have some bumps (maybe not that big) but I am still glad I went throught his. So glad I have you guys during the rough times. I just hope I can help someone else out that may have a similar experience as I did the first couple days. Don't ever let anything say this is the "easy way out" not by far.

2 Days Post Op And Nausea

Things seem to be taking a turn for the better finally. I was on so many IV anti-nausea medication just because one wouldnt last long enough they had to give me another. But I actually got some protien down this morning and can drink water without vomiting, and feel a little bit more like myself again. That was the roughest 48 hours of my life I think. Never thought it would get that bad. But at least the worst is behind me now. Thanks for your support guys.

  8. Hi everyone!! I got my sleeve today. Most of the day I have been dealing with a lot of severe nausea. They are trying to find a nice combo of meds to tackle pain and nausea, said I am having spasms. I'm pretty tired and literally have fallen asleep twice just writing this short message. I just couldn't wait to finally post on the post-op forum!! I am on the losers bench! yay!

    12 Hours Post-Op

did it help? Same thing anytime I gt to go to bathroom or walk, or even suck on wet sponge.
  10. I'm really getting nervous. Especially it being Mothers Day, I'm so scared something will go wrong and my children are left without a mom. I have had surgery many times before. I think I'm nervous because I am electing to have this. Im excited for my new life to start, buy I cant help my brain going to that dark place like what if I never wake up. Im not ready to leave my children, it makes me cry at the thought. Is it just nerves? Just feel like im about to panic. I'm so emotional right now.

    24 Hour Count Down

Thank you so much everyone! I have been so positive and calm for most of this process, I don't know what came over me this morning, but I woke up and just started to panic! I feel better now, just did my toes. I guess I just had to freak out for a second. I know everyone is right. That's what I keep reminding myself. However, as soon as I had to carry my daughter up the stairs today, my knees quickly reminded me one reason. I think part of this is I am hungry, I know I have always dealt with stress or anxiety with food. I didnt have to food to turn to today. Thank goodness for this forum. You guys are wonderful. Good luck to all of you going in tomorrow morning. Meet you on the losers bench tomorrow afternoon. I go in at 5:30am, surgery at 7:30am. I may not know you guys, but I love you guys!
  14. Just wondering if anyone else will be near by? I have Dr. Baker from Grand Health Partners.
  15. Day two seems harder than day one. I can't stop craving peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Hardest part is the caffeine withdrawal at this point and the headache. I am also battling a bit of a cold and stressed if it doesn't get better they will cancel my surgery. I decided to just rest when my toddler naps today and not run around and try and get everything done. Also if I sleep for a little bit, less time thinking of peanut butter haha. Hope everyone else that is on pre-op diet doing ok. I'll make it, but it is hard.
  16. My nanny showed up the last two days around lunch time with today a bag from taco bell, yesterday it was McDonalds. It smelled so good!! I was making fish sticks and tator tots for my little tot this evening and took everything I had not to take a bite. My husband is chinese and thank goodness he makes nasty smelling and tasting things.
  17. Can I just scream for a minute ...."I AM HUNGRY!!!!!!" okay thank you for listening. Carry on.
  18. Down 4 pounds! Day three was easier. I think I am over the worst with the caffiene. No headache tonight finally. I think my hardest part of the day is late afternoon. I start to lose a lot of energy and just want to get a quick fix with carbs and start to crave a lot of bread. I made it another day though. I had one minor cheat, but I wouldn't even call it that, it was One radish, so really....that is like 60% water anyway, haha. Just needed something to chew for a second. I still feel like I succeeded for the day.

    Should I? !?!

You can do it! It will all be worth it. My surgeon said inthe group meeting that it is so important to stop smoking because 9 out of 10 times complications will arise with a smoker. So for your safety and long term health it is for the best. Just reach out to this support forum when you need extra help. Someone is always willing to listen and help. Hang in there. You can do this!
