Dame J. Thank you so much. I am not a computer whiz kid that has grown up with computers as I am older so have had to self teach myself by asking questions. I think I have it now. I also printed out and saved the link. Doreen

Hi Becca: Hey come on. You are perfectly normal. You are trying deparately to change your lifestyle for the betterment of yourself and your family. You are bound to have a slip or two. That is what makes the journey all that more interesting. Experimenting, testing yourself, and yes failure make a better person. Think about your life, has it all been smooth sailing. Enjoy the milkshake and give yourself a bit of praise and get back on the bandwagon. The band is not about starving, depriving yourself, it is about helping you to lead a healthy lifestyle but you ain't going to get there without a few setbacks. Posting shows you have not given up and if we can support you keep on posting. Doddie

Hi: I am fron N.Vanc. I researched the TLBC on the various news websites and I believe the two doctors there introduced the procedure into Canada. Can't remark on the other clinics but I was banded Feb 01/07 of this year and have found the support from the clinic excellent and the DVD excellent. My family GP is willing to do my fills. There are hotels close by and the clinic is in an excellent part of the city close to the University. I felt very safe while in Toronto. Hope this helps a bit. Doreen

    February 2007 Bandsters Unite!

Hi everyone: Been reading your posts and thought I would join in if it is OK. I was banded Feb 01/07 by Dr. Yau at the TLBC and so far had no problems. I did have bruising but not too bad. The incisions are all but healed, just a little scab at the port incision. Didn't loose any weight last week although I stuck to the diet religiously. didn't exercise though and guess the scale was telling me so. Will someone tell me how you get all those cute little weight scales at the bottom of your message.

Hi everyone. Weighed in this morning and stayed the same all week even though I ate less than a 1,000 calories a day (post op diet still). However never exercised and the scale outed me. LOL, my hubby lost 4 lbs last week and he wasn't dieting just trying not to eat in front of me.

    first post -banded feb 1/07

Thanks Tracey. Are you on any special diet yet. I had to go on a cottage cheese, yogurt (all low fat) for two weeks prior to surgery to shrink the liver. Say, how did you get the neat looking measuring stick into your message? Doddie
  13. I was banded Feb. 1/07 with the Midband. I have lost 20 lbs to date and I am still on full fluids. Tomorrow, I start mushies and I can soooooooo taste it. My doctor was Dr. Yau and I have had no problems so far. I was 299 at time of banding and hope to be 180 in 2 years.

Hi Robyn: I am fron the boonies North Vancouver, BC. I can't seem to find many people banded out here so I thought "what the hey, I try and hook up with someone from another province and see how they are making out." Afraid I am an older bandster. 63, retired, married and love to travel. I was 299 when banded and now 268. When my weight goes down, I think the airplane seats will be more comfortable. Doddie
