How timely indeed!! I am now 5 weeks out and have been stalled for a week and a half....boy is it frustrating!! Unfortunately I don't have a good "before" picture to compare myself to and even with the huge wt loss I have had, I have only changed 1 size so far. But I know it will come, its just going to take some time!

Good luck! Staying away from food helps. First few weeks I was not hungry, but am now. There is also gas and acid that makes you feel hungry. You will do great though!

milk of mag. if it doesn't work, call your surgeon.

Mary Kay TImewise body toning lotion works very well too. I love it! It smells great and is inexpensive!

Congrats and luck on both!!

That is common. Your sleeve is swollen and even little bits take some time to get down and through it. And there is a LOT of gas after the surgery. It does get better though.

Stunning!!

Completely normal. I am a month out and just starting mushies. The first 2 weeks I cried about everything. It is still not a picnic, but it certainly is better than it was then.

You need to call your surgeon. You should not be having drainage at this point.

I had surg 2/8 and have lost 26 pounds. Sounds like you are on track.

Right there with ya! Sleeved on 2/8!! Lost a bunch in the first week, but not more than a few since....

Yes, breadless sandwhich! Can't wait til I can try that! We have Jimmy Johns on speed dial here at the clinic!

As I nurse, I can assure you they were most likely measuring correctly. As we lose wt (especially if a large amount) it can change the pressure and curvature of your spine allowing you to stand taller!

Thank you for the link! I just got back to work after surgery and was looking for a way to get the exercise in here!

Yes, walking is best and is good for you and helps get the blood flowing to help you recover faster. My doc said no wt lifting until after 6 weeks (same with core exercises).

I too am interested!! My doc said 4 weeks on liquids- so two more days til mush for me!!! I can't believe how excited I am for mush!!

I also use Unjury. I tried a bunch. I do drink one little 11oz Atkins premade mocha type one in the morning (has a hint of caffeine for get up and go) and then the unjury during the day. The strawberry sorbet is good with crystal light lemonaid and is much lighter than a "shake" type drink. Unjury also has unflavored powder that I will add to cream Soups to get a little extra. I am getting in a lot more Protein most days than what I was told (20 grams until eating real food, then 60-80). Hope this helps! I am almost a month out, so pretty close to you

Congrats!! Go rock that interview like you have been rocking your sleeve!!

Wowza!!! Lookin good!!!

indi1- I had the same thing the first 2 weeks- the crying at a drop of the hat...example: I dropped a tupperware bowl and burst into tears (good lord, really!?) but that has since evened out. I do still once in awhile get sad and feel sorry for myself, but then I remember why I did this and think of the great things to come: ie, being able to run around better with my kids, health benefits, looking SMOKIN!, and I get over it. It does get better/easier with each day!
