  1. Awesome idea! I love my salads and this gives me a way to make sure I can still eat a nice salad! Thanks!
  2. Yep....sip, sip, sip and walk, walk & walk! Congrats on your new sleeve!
  3. Was sleeved on March 5, 2012 by Dr. Seger - so far so good! Would recommend BMI of Texas to anyone!!
  4. I didn't have one after surgery either once in my room. When I asked if I would have one, they said that they always do one in the operating room right after surgery. If any complications arise afterwards they will do one, but not necessary. So far so good
  5. Yeah, I got ice chips too - ask for some! Also, if you are having major nausea ask the nurse for some meds, they pumped that stuff right into my IV and no more nausea instantly!!
  6. You are lucky at all of the jobs that I have had only offer one insurance coverage policy and not a second to choose from. Yes, I do feel very lucky. I work for a good company that does care about their employees and offers a few insurance options. I know alot of people out there are not quite so fortunate!
  7. When I was wearing the hospital gown for day 1 they just gave me another one to put on backwards to hide my tushy!!
  8. Yep, Gas X and heating pad!
  9. What did the anesthesiologist say that freaked you out so bad??
  10. If no luck Monday, show up at their offices! I would for sure! They care, but not as much as you do.
  11. Welcome prple - lots of information around this place and lots of nice people. If you have any questions just post away.
  12. LOL - You should have asked her "I realized I wasn't very hungry, why do you think it might affect your tip?"
  13. Interesting and yes I have wondered about the fiber as well. It is a question I intend to bring up with my doctor tomorrow at my 10 day Post - Op follow-up. I will use your scenario as a question.
  14. I ended up with a pullover gown with pockets and no sleeves because I am always hot too! Got it on just fine with the IV because they unhooked my IV when I went to the restroom anyway. It was awesome! Good luck with your shopping!
  15. Congrats! I felt the same way....wow I did it!
  16. Same here... 5 or 6 days after... Nothing taken
  17. Best wishes and God be with you!

Good for you. Stay on track surgery buddy! Just remember that although that cheese, etc might taste good your stomach needs time to heal and having a leak because you couldn't say no to a chicken nugget isn't worth it!
  19. Congrats and hope to have the same results when I have my labs done!!
  20. Yeah me to AllforMy4 - I keep saying I am going to but haven't done it yet! So I have no idea what I started at.
  21. So did it make the vision better or worse in the right eye?
  22. Welcome Jody!! Congrats on you surgery date! I found this site and have read, read and read some more and even though my doctor and his staff gave me a plether of information I definitely learned alot here too! Good luck and look forward to getting to know you better!
