Getting Health Insurance After Your Sleeve

Don't think they can deny you on Open Enrollment at work can they? I have never heard of that. They don't ask any questions at all when I choose which insurance I want.

    6 Month Supervised Diet?

She could have. But, normally they send a pre-authorization to the insurance company and they send them back the coverage limits. You might call her back and ask her to read you what it says because if they did make a mistake and then surgery day comes and they realize it they will want the rest of the money and if you aren't prepared then bummer you will have to reschedule. Best to know now so you can plan!

Wills, Health Care Poa And Directives

I had done all of that a couple of years ago to make sure that my daughter was taken care of the way that I wanted her to be if I did happen to have a meeting with my maker before she was raised. So yes I did make sure that I provided all of the necessary Medical POA, HIPPA release, Directive, etc. to the hospital before my surgery. Had the discussion with my 26 year old son as to my wishes, etc. I too felt that as a single mother I should take care of business and ensure that they knew about this stuff. Doesn't mean I expected anything other then the best to happen but as you stated it was my duty. I also thought about how could I put myself in the position of the possibility of my death happening and then realized that I was already doing that every day that I woke up and continued to overeat and live with diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I was trying to provide them a longer life with their mother. I had been through other surgeries with anesthesia so I did believe that I would survive, but you just never know do you? God bless you on your journey!

Don't buy one - just use the doctor's! LOL - I have a Weight Watchers one and it seems pretty accurate!

    6 Month Supervised Diet?

Check your insurance and see if you have a maximum out of pocket amount per year - I am betting it is $2000 per individual?

    Wine And Whine Wednesday!

UGH!!! Stuck between 206 and 208 - back and forth back and forth for the last week and half!! Really already and it seems to have started when I started eating real food again. I don't even really want to eat but apparently I am suppose to!! I know it will move again and I don't really want to lose it all really fast, but that stupid pound a day thing right after surgery really kinda got addicting! LOL! Thanks for the vent!

    2 Month Anniversary

Yogurt is more of a slider food - the denser the protein the less you will be able to eat of it. You most likely could not eat 5 oz of chicken or tuna

    March 2012 Vsg

I'm kinda stuck around this 206 mark and am guessing it will move at some point. Hoping anyway. I am getting anywhere from 700-1000 calories a day as intake but then my exercise drops it by about 300 so am confused if I am suppose to eat more to have a net of 1000 or what? My NUT is just that a nut - doesn't seem like she knows much more then me. All she says is to be low carb - keep them under 30. Well I am doing that.
