    Cant Wait Till Monday

Hang in there! The fact that you have lost 12lbs already should show him that you are serious about wanting to make the changes. Just stick to the diet plan he has given you and keep the faith!

    Worried I Feel Too Good...

Me too, I have no problems drinking anything. I am hoping that the restriction is really felt when I eat! I did tease my surgeon about being a "placebo" surgery patient! I will find out Monday when I start mushies.
  7. Everybody's body is different. I lost 13 lbs during my Pre-Op diet but others lost 20+. It all depends on your starting weight, etc....losing 24 total before your surgery is a big accomplishment. You will be fine!! Good luck tomorrow and welcome to the "Losers Bench"!

    Insomnia?

Are you taking pain medications? I was taking liquid Lortab and although I slept some I didn't sleep as much as I wanted to. My mind was racing and really about nothing....LOL

    Pre Op Tomorrow

My pre-op consisted of chest Xrays, EKG, blood work, MRSA testing and getting my Incentive Spirometer to practice breathing at home. No biggie, just running final tests before surgery.

    Feeling A Little Discouraged

What a bummer, but hang in there! This will happen for you! Try the smaller hospitals, maybe they can work you in quickly, it is a outpatient procedure. Your surgeon doesn't know any?

    Did You Have An Egd?

I was out, not remember any of it! The only thing I remember was they put something in my mouth to protect my teeth and then I was gone.

    Got A Date!

Congrats on your date!! My surgeon said no driving for 2 weeks due to pain killers and being able to use your legs and turn without pulling anything. If you aren't taking the pain killers and don't have any pulling issues you could probably do it sooner. I have seen alot of posts where others have driven sooner then the 2 weeks. What has your doctor said?

Plain Ice Cold Water Sounds So Good But.....

Yep, using Propel too. I always loved plain water and always got my 64+ ounces in before surgery. Will have to try the Dansani too.

    Protein Shake Heaven

I have tried two other Muscle Milks and hated them, granted they were not the lights. I will try this one but if that one sucks not doing anymore - LOL! I hope I like it because it is important to have one you do like that you can grab on the go!

    Question Of The Day Tuesday

Still freshly new at this, but just my clothes fitting better already and NO diabetes or high blood pressure meds since before surgery!! :D

    Woohoo Approval!

    Congrats!! Welcome aboard!
  22. My BMI was 42 at 3 weeks before surgery and I had to do a 2 week Pre-OP diet. It depends on your surgeon.
