  1. It sounds to me your body over-reacted to the carbs (a.k.a. sugar) in the food you were eating. Probably gave your body a jolt to have those foods after almost a month of liquid.< /p>

Take it easy and make sure you eat very slowly next time. If your doctor is similiar to many plans, you should be eating about 1/4 of a cup at each meal right now. Take 20-30 minutes to eat that much.

Just curious - what kind of chips were you eating? If "snacky" chips, you should be VERY careful. They could do some damage to a healing stomach.

Welcome back to the world of "real" food. :smile1:

actually when i was faint and panicking my mother gave me a peice of chocolate and i felt so much better and thought that my sugar was low which made me faint . onion chips with low fat from marks and Spencer . I haven't eaten all day and i ate so slowly and chewed the food thoroughly before i swallowed it

  2. You may be prone to dumping. Had you had that many carbs before?

i was eating macaronni , with chips and some mashed potato , but i was eating them so slowly , i guess it is the dumping syndrome because im drinking Water and still feel there is space in my stomach . Do you think this is serious ? or just normal because its my first day eating macaronni since surgery

  3. Simple answer....ask your doctor. Our post-op diets vary widely.

Also, I'd like to echo some of the other posters in that we shouldn't go back to our old comfort foods. Try modifying some foods like pizza. There are recipes on this site when you are at the stage to enjoy them.

  4. I don't even want fast food! IT's not on my success list. It is so full of fat and added crap that it turns my stomach. Now pizza is a little different. I eat l bite of crust and then eat all the topping if I can. :wink1: We all follow a different thought process, but I know that the reason I gained so much weight is because of the fast foods I ate. I don't want that to ever happen again. :wink1:
