Sue...I was hoping you would post in my thread...you always give great advice.............No, none of those are nearby.....closest would be about a 2 hour drive....we are going to my aunt's tonight and we are going to stop by Jason's Deli and get me some soup......I was so excited this morning when I woke up and realized that I didn't wake up coughing.......

The last fill I had was on October 11th. Dr Spiegel's nurse called today to check on me and make sure that I was going to be ok..I told her that I think I will be fine and she told me to contact her if I needed anything over the weekend, so that made me feel better. I have drank 6 oz of hot cocoa and have kept it down. I heard if your band slips that everything you drink comes back up...is that not true? I really don't think I have slipped the band; just have what Michelle had a while back. I think that the liquids are going to work. Hopefully anyway!!!!

Did your Dr mention the protien shakes to you?? I was told that I could have anything that went through a straw the day I had the surgery. The next day after my surgery I had one...Every Dr is different...Good Luck to You!

Mine is to keep the scissors out of my hair and let it grow.. 2nd is to lose my last 20 lbs in our Company sponsered "diet".

Well, Thanks again everyone.....Last night when I got home I took two sips of Water and that is all I have had. I know that I am usually very tight in the mornings so I have not tried anything this morning. I did sleep last night without reflux. I have been managing to swallow my spit. I feel better. Paula, the Spiegel thing upsets me alot.....I don't know what to do anout it. He is mostly in Houston now....he is here at the beginning of the weeks, so even if on a Thursday this happens we have to haul our hinney's to Houston..... I have heard rumors that there is other Dr's around that are going to start doing the lap-band...who knows....

Thanks everyone!!! I have decided that I will go on clear liquids for the next 5 days....nothing else...I have managed to hold down some sips of Orange Gatorade. I think that after I do the 5 days of clear liquids that I should be fine. If I am not totally better by Monday then I will drive to kalamazoo to get help. Thanks again and any suggestions is greatly appreciated.....

R U ready for this??? I have not had a fill since October 11th!!!!! My family Dr tried to hit my port in October and could hit it but not get in the port. So, no luck there. When I went to the ER in Houston in August, not a single person knew anything about the port and how do unfill it. We had to wait for my Dr to get there before they would do ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They told me that they could send home health out and put me on IV fluid if need be....I work for an ambulance company, so if I need IV's that is not a problem. They told me that I could take a 2 hr drive to another Dr that would see me at his convience....yesterday they sent a patient over there and the Dr could not see that patient. So I could take the 2 hour drive and never get anything accomplished. Seriously, I am almost to the point to try myself....

Well this last trip to the bathroom makes 4 times since lunch that I have thrown up.....It is like my spit will accumulate and then after a while I have to go throw it up...or PB. Something is not right here...anyone willing to do a unfill???????????????? anyone please.........................

You know I was complaining that my throat burned and was sore. It started in my throat and traveled down to my neck...it was the weirdest thing. I did drink some of the Vegetable Medley soup and some of it came back up; not all of it. I am slowly sipping on tea and I can feel it hit the band and then my stomach...it takes it a second to get to my stomach.....!!! Hell, another day another story

I recently was checking with my OBGYN about the birth control methods. I can't ever remember to take my pill so I was looking for something else. They mentioned the patch and then asked how much I weighed because it don't work for people over 180 lbs. That shocked me....

You are very unusual.......but that is why we all love you soooo much!!! Lisa, with all sincerity I hope that this eventually comes to an end for you. This has taken sooo much of your time from you. I am glad that somehow Lopez got off his lazy *ss and is going to help you. I hope that there is no erosion or anything else that keeps you from keeping your band. I don't really have an answer for you cause I am in the same boat. I would like to lose another 20-30 lbs and I don't think they will ever come off. I am like you, I want them off really bad!!!! Let me know if you find the secret!! Good Luck!!

Mine was when I was diagnosed with Diabetes at 26 years old. I was taking Glucophage 2x a day. I figured I was 26 now and in 20 years I would only be 46. 20 years is a long time for my body to have Diabetes and 46 is very young. So, I did it!!! No longer on meds and diabetic free:-)
