I confess that I fear that my 30 lb loss will be my only loss.
I confess that I absolutely hate exercising, but I force myself to do it anyway.
I confess that I do not torture myself. If I want something, I have it (in moderation, of course).

This post could have come from me a week or two ago. Every single day it gets a little better' date=' I promise. Hang in there![/quote']
It really does...we're not just trying to make you feel better.

Oh no, hopefully, it won't be too bad. I say bring enough food for 2-3 days & eat enough for one meal...they probably won't notice. Good luck & keep me posted!

I'm a high school counselor and going back next week! I'm 2 weeks out and I have a hair appt this Friday! I didn't even think about...I need a touch-up. You nervous about your new eating habits at work? I've decided not to tell anyone there just yet...
I know that you didn't ask me, but I'm a middle school teacher. I told a couple of people before school ended. They were very supportive. I don't eat in the teachers' lounge, so I'm not worried. I did tell the two girls who eat lunch in my classroom.

I dyed mine several weeks out...so far, so good.

This is great! There were no DE people when I started. As of tomorrow, I am 8 weeks post op. Congrats & good luck to you both. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

I live in Delaware too. I just wanted to reach out because there aren't many of us. Did you have your surgery yet? Who did/is doing it???
Ps...this was a private message, but the app is acting up.

Good luck to you both!

My doctor used a drain, while I was in the hospital. At almost 2 months post op, I still can't lay in my left side. It feels very uncomfortable. My right side, however, is fine. Things will get better. Good luck & congrats on your surgery!

On a good note, you are losing! I know that we sometimes get discouraged, because we expect drastic results, but the slower the weight loss the less likely that you will have a lot of excess skin. That's how I justify it anyway.
I will be two months out on Tuesday. I weigh myself weekly for my YouTube updates; otherwise, I would do it monthly. So far, I am down 30 lbs. Some people who have had their surgeries around the same time or after me have lost a lot more than I have, but I try & remember that everyone's weight loss journey is different.
Anyway, my point minus all of the rambling, things will get better. Good luck & try to weigh yourself weekly...!

Whatever you decide to do' date=' I hope it works out for you. I obviously don't know you or your husband so I'm reluctant to just throw advice out to you. I have noticed that there are several posts of women leaving bad marriages and good for you gals if your lives are now better. We all deserve to find happiness, and if that means a divorce, or a breakup then so be it. But not all of us guys are as bad as some of the ones I read about on here. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary last month and we have 2 beautiful children. She is my partner, lover and best friend. I had my VSG in June and she took a week off to stay home and care for me just in case I needed her around. 8 years ago, I had a stroke and I couldn't stand, walk or bathe myself. She was there, at my side the whole time, bathing me, feeding me, helping me walk....she never once complained. Thank God, I had a full recovery with no side effects. My wife never had a weight issue (she's 5 ft. 117 lbs) but she was completely supportive of me having this surgery, and I did it because I love her so much and I want to have the benefit of more years with her. I don't care if this surgery turns me into the hottest guy on earth, I will NEVER stray from her (in 30 years, I have never strayed). She is a big reason why I'm still alive and she's my reason for living, and that will never change.Sent from my iPhone using VST[/quote']
That's so sweet! There is still hope, ladies!

My surgery date was July 19th and I'm not gonna say I love everything about my sleeve yet I have lost in total 25lbs I started my journey at 262lbs I am now 237 BUT' date='........ I am missing certain foods & whats even harder is trying to get in my Protein all the supplements I've tried are disgusting I've tried Isopure vanilla powder it's nasty I've tried syntax Nectars it's nasty I've tried unjury chicken powder it's uhm well not as bad as the rest but, still not something thats easy to go down! I just can't deal with the smell the thickness or the taste of any of these Protein shakes Any suggestions? I am also worried about hair loss my hair is long & natural but, thin already I'm gonna start taking Biotin I've also heard of biosil drops I'm gonna try everything to keep my hair protected as much as I can![/quote']Girl, I hear you. The first couple of weeks are a challenge, but it will get better. I was sleeved on June 19th.
First, congrats on the weight loss. Second, I am not crazy about the Protein Shakes either. What helped me, in the beginning, is Bariatric Advantage's white grape elixir & Adkins Cafe Caramel. Honestly, at six weeks out, I'm sick of them too. Hopefully, that will change soon.
I was getting in 60-70g of Protein a day (mostly through my food)...now it's more like 40-50g of protein (due to newfound tummy restrictions). So, I might have to go back to drinking an Adkins shake a day. I'm worried about Hair loss too. My hair is already thin as well. So, I feel your pain.

I hope that you won't experience it as well, Song bird. It's sad, but it's not our fault.

A friend told me tonight in conversation that she admires Oprah because "she lost her weight the right way" which I took as a jab so I told her Oprah also gained most of it back the wrong way.I noticed in general my friends that have weight to lose have not been around as much & thinner friends have been more chatty towards me.
"Oprah also gained most of it back the wrong way" multiple times!!! We can all lose the weight...keeping it off is the problem.
