  1. Hi everyone I got sleeved March 23rd and I'm doing good with the weight loss not so good with keeping my diet...I feel hungry all the time and don't know what to do. The weight is coming off but I'm afraid of eating...what I'm eating isn't a lot at all but it's more than before. I eat and feel hungry again in an hr...I don't eat I drink fluids but I feel the need to eat...and I know the difference of mind hunger and stomach hunger it's my stomach...I think. Maybe it is mind hunger... I'm afraid...but my fear will keep me at bay.

    Pre op Weight: 292lbs

    Surgery date: March 23rd

    Surgery weight: 279 lbs

    Todays weight: 209 lbs

    Total loss: 83 lbs

I think this normal because I have days that I feel hungry but can't eat but an ounce or two ( I had my sleeve march 26th ) but I can eat more watermelon that goes down very well. Some foods doesn't feel so good going down so I leave those foods alone lol. What you probably shokf do it keep moving and that will keep your mind off of foods. This work to well for me because I'll forget to eat that's not good

  2. First I have to tell you when I went into the examine room and the Dr start asking questions about what's going on with me I told him that I had gastric sleeve in Mexico he

Went off on me saying that's not a good idea going to Mexico because you need after care because what cause go wrong and a lot of doctors don't want to take you because people go out the US to have surgery but don't think about aftercare. I really felt bad and he was right he referred me to a Dr I hope he take me. But on the upside he gave me scope and everything is great I healing great but he told me I need to purée foods longer my stomach isn't ready for soft and tender foods yet and it's been 6 weeks well I I'm one of the people that take longer to heal.

  3. I'm 6 week po-op how long before you can eat regular foods. I know I have a ways before right I'm not able to eat anything I don't know why but I will know by the end of week hopefully. I'm having a scope percedure Thursday to found out why I can't eat it's been 1 1/2 now if I eat it come back up the doctor thought I was constipated but that's not it lol

  4. Are you feeling better after the hospital visit? Did they give you IV fluids? I hope you can begin taking in more Water. Just try itty bitty baby sips' date=' every few minutes. I'll keep you in my prayers![/quote']

Yes they gave me 2 liters i'm feeling a little better and I been doing just that a lot of sip and watermelon and thanks for the prayers

  5. Hey Everyone!

Today marks 4 weeks post op. I've lost 33 lbs since the pre-op diet' date=' and 23 since surgery. My starting weight was 257, and now I'm 224. The thought of food is very frustrating to me. For one, some foods don't taste the way I remember them, and I can only eat a few spoonfuls. Eating out with friends isn't what it used to be either. I'm usually done after a few bites, then I spend the rest of the time talking to them while they eat. While getting dressed for work this morning, I realized its time to buy new pants. The first pair I tried on was way too big, and the 2nd was big, but I needed something to wear to work. So, I get to go shopping this weekend.

My best friend for 15 years has been acting weird lately. She's been making comments like, I don't want to be your fat friend, I wish I could lose the weight, maybe if I was on your diet I could lose weight like you. Are any of you experiencing anything like this? If so, how are/ did you handle it? (sigh)

On a brighter note, keep up the good work everyone, I love reading your posts.[/quote']

YAY I'm proud of you I'm 2 weeks post op and I lost 21lbs so far I havent got to the point where I can taste foods I have heard that people like having the same issue

And I'm sorry your friend is having issue with your weight loss but sound like she jealous, maybe when you go exercise you can invite her to go with you but in the mean time do you

  6. I was walking right out of the recovery room. My guidelines were to walk as much as I could for the first six weeks' date=' and then I was cleared for weight lifting. Well, light weight lifting. I've added weight and reps as I've gone along. I was cleared for cardio (treadmill and bike) after three weeks I think.[/quote']

Yeah I know that walking but I mean like weight lifting, aerobic and exercise equipment

  7. If you can weigh yourself monthly' date=' you'll be MUCH happier, trust me. In the beginning, when the big changes occur, you'll be even happier because you'll see even more weight dropping.

And when you get further along on your weight loss journey, you'll also be happier because you won't drive yourself bonkers over normal little weight fluctuations.

That being said, most sleevers are glued to the scale at the beginning, with some even weighing themselves daily, and beating themselves up for "not losing a pound yesterday." That's just crazy, in my opinion.[/quote']

See that's what I thought I would be more happier just weighing myself monthly thanks

  8. Had my sleeve yesterday everything went very well just so tired I had a roommate and she cried all night she was in so much pain. I on the other hand didn't have any hey

Pain I just feel very very nausea and tire. Dr Almanza was great you have a great team have no regrets. just got my first ice down wasn't bad at all

  9. Ok day two of liquids' date=' not to bad except co workers have to sit beside me with their fries and burgers. How rude and yes they know what I'm doing. They will fill differently when I'm healthier than them so ha ha. I found that I miss chewing. So I chew on a Popsicle to help with that. My stomach is growling really loud now. I'm going to make me something to drink now.[/quote']

    That's my problem too I'm a chewer

  10. My goal is to be between 120-150 lbs. I am 5'6' date=' 282 now (about 12 pounds less since I started researching WLS.) I was lighter a few years ago, and a work out junky, and started to plateau around 198. I am sure it will be different afterwards, and I am sure it varies per person, but at what weight did the weight stop coming off fast? For me I'd guess around 160.[/quote']

Kiki I really don't know what goal i Will have I guess I'll just have to wait and see what I look like in different stages (I though maybe around 145-150 I'm 5'4) I used to weigh 128 but I look sickly so I'll just wait and see
