Hi am Stephanie and here's my story.  I am currently lap-banded.  I got the band in December of 2009.  I have had many fills and never lost one lb.  I hate the thing.  I always get stuck on the first bite but once that clears I am still hungry.  I have never felt restriction and have had 5 fills and unfills.  It sucks!















Anyhow, after getting up to my highest weight, which I am at currently, I have decided that enough is enough.  After researching a lot I have settled on Dr. Aceves to perform a revision to VGS on my in May of 2012.















As for me, I am a single mom to two great kids.  I have an 18 year old daughter and a six year old son with Autism.  I am very busy with him and his therapies.  I also work full time outside of the home.  I was divorced in 2010 and it was the most excruciating thing I have been through.  My ex-husband and I have a great relationship for the kids and that is all that matters.  Anyhow, after being devastated for more than a year I have finally pulled  myself up and am starting to rebuild myself.  I met one of my childhood playmates on FB after 25 years and we are currently dating.  It is amazing how being with someone who truly loves you makes you realize how awful a previous relationship was.















I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing my experiences on this board.  So glad I found it.
