  5. Same thing with Dr. Aceves. His are on the website.
  6. I got home and the next day I got hit like a steam train with my period. PIssed me off. lol It wasn't even due until two weeks later. I was actually hoping that the stress from the surgery would make me not have a cycle or two but NOPE.
  7. Frustrated right now. Just type out a long and nice first blog entry to only have the website not save it and come back up with a blank screen. VERY frustating. Anhow, today is day 6 post-op. I am feeling pretty good. Since I wrote so much earlier I will just write the basics now because I don't want to type all of that out again. Took my measurements on 5-15-12 and here they are. chest - 43 left arm - waist - 40 abdomen - 52.5 hips - 53 left thight - 29.5 left calf - 16.25 Pretty pear shaped. lol Here are some short term goals that I have set: June 10, 2012 (30 days post op) - goal= 210, reward=pedicure at Peppermill and one glass if wine. mid- July (Dane's Vegas birthday trip) - goal= 195; reward= something cute that I may find in Vegas. Labor Day weekend - gooal=175; reward = overnight trip to Roseville for shopping at the Galleria. LUSH!! Cabo San Lucas (October 28, 2012) goal=155; reward= one or two sexy summer dresses to wear while down there. I am also hoping to fit into those two cute bathing suits that I bought in January 2010 that STILL have the tags on them. 40th birthday (February 14, 2013). goal = 135-140. Reward = hmmm not sure. TBA. Feeling pretty good today. Not as emotional as the past few days. After thinking a lot (which I have a lot of time to do now) I realize how important food was in my life. Never realized how much I actually thought about it and used it fr boredom, stress. and depression.
  8. Before this week if anyone had aske me if I thought my my life revolve around food I would have said no. But after a lot of self reflection these past couple of days I have realized that I AM a food addict and a total foodie. All I have been thinking about this week is sushi and wine and food. I can't wait until I can start doing some major exercise so I can change my focus. I want to go back to spinning class at the Golds Gym. Those classes are amazing and a huge adrenaline rush.
  9. Good luck ladynana. You will do great.

  11. That is amazing! Congratulations to you. Great job on the time increase.
  12. WAnt2bhealthy - 38 pounds is great. It isn't as fast as some people lose but I would be thrilled about losing 38 lbs. Keep at it.
  13. Thank you to everyone for listening to me last night. That was really tough. Today was a new day and I feel great. The 5 lbs are gone and I walked two miles around the marina here. One day at a time, one day at a time.
  14. Sending prayers your way. You'll do great.
  15. Just got home too. I had somewhat of a meltdown. I got really emotional when I got hone and weighed myself. I was up 5 lbs and just felt post-partum like. It was really strange. Thank God for my amazing and supportive boyfriend. He talked me through it. Also, thankful to this board for the advice.
  16. Thank you everyone for the fast responses. I really appreciate it. I wasn't expecting the roller coaster of emotions. that was a shocker. I will get some rest and keep pu the sipping and walking. It was just a shocker to see that when I got home today.
  17. I can't stop crying. I just got home from the airport about 30 minutes ago. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Aceves' team. I weighed myself on my scale before I left and on Dr. Aceves scales the day of surgery and again this morning. I am up 5 lbs. I haven't eaten anything for over four days.!!!! I am up 5 f#cking pounds. I am starting to think that I truly am going to be the one and only person this surgery does not work for. I can't stop crying. I feel ilke I have post-partum depression almost. Did this happen to anyone else? I don't ever remember reading about anyone gaining such a large amount of weight following surgery. So incredibly disheartened right now.
  18. Tomorrow morning I fly into San Diego and then headed to Mexicali. Wish me luck.
