  1. Hey Banders-

I am leaving town & will be spending 4 full days in a hotel for an amazing training with my in home party plan company. I have gone many years in a row, but this is my first trip being banded. I know for a fact eating 3 meals isn't really an option during this trip, so I am trying to come up with some ideas to get me through in a good way. Last night I went shopping & purchased beef Jerky, chicken salad & cracker kits along with Protein Bars. I also plan to bring hard boiled eggs & lunch meat to keep in my cooler along with whole grain tortillas. Am I on the right track?

My nutritionist will be calling me tomorrow for a phone discussion based on my above thoughts, I just want to see what you guys think & if you all have suggestions to offer. Thanks so much B)

  2. I really just need to say reading these posts help so much! I had my 1st fill on Monday July 9th and I haven't felt much of a difference & I am hungrier BUT I am still pressing on. If I NEED a snack I normally resort to a Light String cheese & it usually helps. I failed to ask my md when I should have my next fill, but I assume it is when I can eat more than I currently can. I am guessing another couple of weeks out. I love this site & everyone's post, so thanks!

  3. Alright friends, the lump is where my port is...the doctor said everything is normal & I am doing just fine :) My 1st fill was on Monday July 9th and I passed out LoL! I have never passed out before so it was quite the experience BUT I think it was nerves & lack of food. I am feeling good, no complaints. She said I would feel fuller faster, but I can't say that I have noticed that to much. I was only given 3.8 ccs, and I do notice I need to eat much slower & chew better. Thanks everyone!

  4. I thought at first I could feel a little button size object under my skin near the largest scar on my left side, now I can't feel it but there is a lump. I have lost I believe 17 pounds in the last month & all is well, I am looking forward to my fill just nervous about that damn lump & no more little button sized object LoL!

  5. Alright, so I was banded June 7th. I destinctly remember being able to feel my port & now I can't? I also notice there is a lump near the area of the port scar. Is this normal, is or has anyone else experienced this? I am really nervous about it & planning to call my doctor tomorrow. My first fill is July 9th and I assume I am worrying over nothing, but I am a little worried. I notice I can eat more & I have cheated a little but not much. Thoughts, anyone!?!?

  6. I had some pretty significant gas pains in my shoulders, however truth be told they did pass the more I moved. I am trying to stay strong with food, but lately have been chewing things & spitting them out. I know I need to stop that, I'm just so tired of liquids.

Nice to see many of us started this journey on the same day! Let's keep in touch :)

  7. As of Thursday June 7th, I am officially banded! I am more than excited to start my journey & to rock it! I am on a liquid diet until this coming Thursday, after that puréed & if all goes well by the third week my soft Proteins such as fish. I'm super excited & today was easier than the first few. Anyone else a new bander, anyone had newbie suggestions? Can't wait to start talking to more like me...oxox!
