  1. What exactly do I need from my nutritionist? ..a letter or notes?..if so what does it need yo say?
  2. My surgeon told me I can use the same psychologist for psych eval...im going for it on thurs
  3. I had the same issue I was awake the whole night. Funny thing is they said I had "mild sleep apnea" amazed me because I didn't sleep at all..I went to my psychiatrist and she gave me seroquel for sleep
  4. I cant stand that question ..its like one of those questions people ask to try to get someone to second guess themselves...I got the" just diet and exercise today"..I had to walk away
  5. @iheartnettie thanks ill most likely be doing those suggestions..unfortunately I keep getting the are you sure question from the people so I will most likely be attending the support groups pre and post op
  6. @Lissa thank you for answering my question. It helps from someone who has already had it done.. I definitely will be looking into more proactive ways beforehand
  7. I eat when im happy, sad, bored, etc..I haven't had the sleeve yet im in the process of getting the go ahead but I was wondering...what outlet do you use post surgery instead of food?

  9. I have the 6mo nutritionist, dr letter of necessity, abdominal and venous duplex ultrasound, and the endoscopy done. Between now and the 20th I have appointments with my psychiatrist, cardiologist and pulmonary.( no idea what tests I have to do with them) and 3 support groups I have to attend-_- ..so busy month I dont know how realistic this is but hoping to have all the approval letters from everyone by the 3/29 when im meeting with my surgeon again What are you up to in this process?
  10. Congrats! I started the process a month ago..so far no difficulties. Just worried about insurance approval
  11. Thanks for the replies if that does happen I don't think ill feel as embarrassed..oddly enough I was more concerned with that then the surgery itself
  12. The thought of the whole catheter and having it at the same time kind of thing embarrasses me for whatever reason.
  13. Anyone have their period during surgery? Im freaked out at the thought of it
  14. I know it seems like forever but i feel more fortuate i already had a 6 month nutritionist ,abdominal ultrasound and a endoscopy done even before i thought about surgery. I just have a psych eval ,3 support groups left , cardiologist and pulminary dr. I just donlt know what to expect with those appointments. Im 24 with a bmi of 49, sleep apnea and mild gerd with hiatal hernia...so im praying i get approved

  16. Hi everyone I just have a few questions 1- im on lexapro,lamictal and seroquel. Would i need to crush all of themup post surgery? 2- i took the venous duplex sonogram today. Just out of curiosity did anyone have edema pre surgery? 3- im worried about getting denied. Does anyone have bcbs ppo? I live in ny..how long till u actually got approved? Thanks!
