  1. I am 9 days op and I can eat anything without vomiting. Its like I didn't even have surgery' date=' is anyone else the same. I don't think that's a good thing.[/quote']

My surgery was March 15, and I feel the same exact way. It is very frustrating . I'm keeping my fingers crossed that after I get my first fill that I will feel some restriction.

  2. OK day was 10 day post op for me and the 1st day back at work. It went really well prepared my Protein Shakes the night b4 and everything was good but mid-way through the day my larger incision started to become painful and a burning sensation. I just figured I was doing to much so I tried to take it easy after that but is this normal has any1 else had this problem???

Yes I have had the same exact problem. It is where my port is located. I'd say that I quit having that pain about 17 days post op.

  3. I am definitely struggling as well. I eat lots of stuff I shouldn't and I just can't seem to get back in control. I have my first fill on Monday and I really hope it helps. I haven't had any foods getting stuck nor do I feel any restriction. It's almost like it was before I had the surgery! I'm so disappointed b/c I paid all this money and I haven't been able to stick with the diet! Ugh!!

Yes, I feel the same way. It is very frustrating..

  4. Strange question...does anyone else get this? In the morning my port is very pronounced under

My skin. If I was wearing a tight shirt or a bathing suit I am sure you would see it. In the afternoon it is way less noticeable. Am I crazy?

I do not see mine. I can't even feel it. Your doctor must have put yours closer to the surface.

  5. Hi everyone' date='

Was banded yesterday and slept the rest of the day. I feel really good but I was hungry last night. I noticed on the sheet AFTER my husband brought me a can of broth and I was able to eat it that I was only supposed to eat 3oz every 3 hours. Well I drank the whole thing which is 8 oz. So now I'm nervous that I ruined something. I also was bummed b/c my hubby asked me to stand on the scale this morning and I was up 5 lbs....but I'm thinking this was from all the fluids they put in me yesterday. I told hi I refuse to weigh again until next week after I've had a chance to pee all this out! Anyone else have that problem?[/quote']

When I got home from the hospital Friday I was 8 lbs more than when I left got the hospital. I know that it's the fluids and swelling.

  6. I got my surgery time for tomorrow. It's at 7 am. I live 2 hours away from the hospital which means i will have to leave at 3 am to be there for 5 am...... Yikes...I'm a little nervous cause I pigged out on taco bell yesterday and the scale went up 5 pounds. I'm supposed to be on 2 weeks of liquids. I'm afraid they will be able to tell. I think I'm more nervous about that than the actual surgery at this point.

  7. Neekoal-- I too have the same thought. I'm scheduled for the 15th. I have to do 2 week liquid pre-op and there has not been one day that I have not put something else in my mouth whether it be a slice of cheese or a spoon of Peanut Butter. I do not like any of the Protein Shakes that I have tried. I have read that some people are not loosing weight so I'm concerned that I will be one of those people because I want it so badly. I just have to keep thinking positive . I also have a mother that thinks I will not be able to do this, so I'm determined to prove her wrong...
