I am going to Mexico to Dr. Garcia on May 7th. I cannot wait!

Where did you have your surgery? Who was your surgeon?

I am using a lighter me and going with Dr. Garcia my surgery is on May 7th! I am so excited.

I also have seen alot of posts from people that went to Mexico alone. I have heard great things about Dr. Kelly so I think you would be in good hands.

I coordinated through Linda at a lighter me. I did the math and after paying for a hotel during the recovery and for a room before surgery because my husband is goind and they said if I had a companion I had to pay for a hotel room I decided to go with Garcia. I have heard nothing but good about Almanza but I am not going to lie the whole clinic in the strip mall kinda scared me. I have not heard of one problem at all that he has had but it just made me uneasy. You just have to go with whoever you are comfortable with. You will know and when you make the decision you will have a peace about you and be ready for the surgery. Good luck and I am sure you will make the right choice for you.

I am so happy for you! I am jealous I have to wait 8 more weeks . I am so anxious and want to be here already.

I just paid my $500 deposit by credit card on their website. I am taking a cashiers check for the balance to them on my surgery date. No fees that way.

Do not stop washing your hair on a regular basis though. I was watching youtube videos by Dr. Alvarez and he says that washing your hair and scrubbing your scalp will stimulate new growth. I have not had the surgery yet but I started taking the biotin already because my hair is fine anyway and wanted to maybe get a head start on the hair vitamins. I also am making sure I am getting enough iron and zinc because that is vital for hair growth. I also bought the generic form of women's rogaine that I am going to start using as soon as I have the surgery. If my hair falls out after all this I give up and may just shave my head lol. Good luck and it will get better.

Was there anything special you did? Vitamins? Protein? Shampoo? Any secrets we should know about? I am glad to hear it only lasted a few months. That eases my mind.

I am going to Dr. Garcia on May 7th. I have been extremely happy with the way things have handled and cannot wait. Dr. Garcia is $5000 with a $500 deposit. I am so excited 8 more weeks and I will be an official loser!! YAY!!

I am wondering the same thing. I haven't heard anything really about the tourism part of the surgery lol.

I live in the Tulsa area. I am going to Tijuana May 7th.

My mind is racing as well so I can only imagine how your mind is. Not a problem. I already bought all my food for the preop diet and some for after the diet. I got a single serving blender for my food. I just got so excited I needed to start planning for it. Bought vitamins for before and after so maybe it will slow down the hair loss. I am so happy for you. I wish I was going at the same time but I am taking classes to be a social worker and my classes do not end until May.

I would think if you had an infection you would be running a fever. Have you been doing a lot of walking? If so that may be causing the soreness. I am not sure what to tell you but I hope you are feeling better. Sometimes things get sore when they are healing so hopefully that is it. Please let us know what you have found out.
